When to book a technician visit

  1. 1

AC that no longer cools properly

The unit runs but the air is barely cool, you hear knocking from the indoor head, or you find water on the wall. The technician brings pressure gauges and electrical test tools and finds the cause before starting any repair.

  2. 2

A fridge or cold room in your shop

The fridge does not hold temperature, or the compressor runs without cycling off. Stock loss starts before you notice the fault. The technician comes to your shop, checks the circuit and tells you the real condition of the unit.

  3. 3

A sudden fault with no obvious cause

The AC trips the breaker, runs without cooling, or gives off a smell. These symptoms can have different causes. The technician checks the board, compressor, capacitor and coil in the right order and explains what he finds.

What sets this district apart

Al Rawdah is a mid-age district mixing residential villas, apartment blocks, shops, small hospitals and clinics. Buildings here were built in different periods, some modern and some slightly older, with varied electrical systems needing careful inspection. Coastal heat and humidity speed up copper pipe and outdoor unit corrosion, and some shops use specialist display and freezer units.

FAQ

Questions about HVAC & refrigeration technician

What does the technician bring on the visit?

The technician brings pressure gauges to check the refrigeration cycle, electrical meters to test the capacitor, relay and control board, and leak detection and flare joint tools. The exact kit depends on the fault description you give when you book.

Can the technician check the AC and the fridge in the same visit?

Yes. The technician covers both air conditioning and refrigeration, so if you have a faulty AC and a commercial fridge or cold unit at the same location he inspects both in one visit and explains the condition of each separately before any repair begins.

How does the technician explain the fault before any work begins?

The technician diagnoses the fault first, whether a failing capacitor, a deteriorated flare joint or a blocked drain line, then tells you what he found, what work is needed and which parts must be replaced. No work starts until you have approved what he has explained.

What happens if the repair needs a spare part?

After the inspection the technician names the part needed and explains why. If the part is available on site the repair is done in the same visit. If it has to be sourced first, he agrees a second visit with you. No replacement is started without your knowledge of what will be done.

Is the inspection for a split unit different from a ducted or cassette unit?

Yes. A split unit gives direct access to the coil, filter and flare joint. A ducted or cassette unit also needs the plenum, dampers and duct runs checked to confirm air is distributed correctly. The technician decides the inspection method after seeing the unit type and installation at your site.

Our building is relatively old and the copper pipes may be corroded, is this dangerous?

Corrosion on pipes may cause refrigerant leaks. We inspect pipes carefully and advise replacement if leakage is serious.

Al Rawdah has high coastal humidity, do AC units need more maintenance here?

Yes, humidity speeds up outdoor unit and pipe corrosion. We advise periodic cleaning and seasonal checks to reduce wear.

The shop has a display fridge and a freezer, how do we maintain both?

We clean condenser coils monthly, inspect pipes and compressor, and check temperatures are appropriate. We visit regularly as needed.

Power can cut out sometimes in the area, does this affect the AC?

Sudden power cuts can affect the compressor and electronics. We check the electrical circuit and protection before startup.
