When your window unit needs attention
- 1
Weak cooling even on full power
The room stays warm even with the unit running at full. Most often the coil or filter is blocked with the dust and salt Jeddah's air carries; cleaning them brings the cooling back without any parts.
- 2
Water leaking into the room
Dripping inside the room does not always mean a mechanical fault. The unit needs a slight tilt toward the outside so condensate runs away. We check the tilt, the drain tray and the drain holes before anything else.
- 3
Loud noise or a fan that will not spin
Grinding or heavy vibration usually points to a fan with broken blades, a worn shaft or a foreign object inside the unit. A fan that does not start while the compressor hums is often a failed run capacitor.
Who it's for
Your flat's window unit drips onto the floor
We check the unit tilt, drain tray and drain holes on site and correct the real cause so the dripping does not return.
Ask on WhatsAppYour shop's window unit runs but does not cool
We diagnose the coil, filter, capacitor and thermostat at your shop and carry out the repair needed to restore cooling with the least disruption to your business.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Describe the fault
WhatsApp us what is happening: noise, drip or weak cooling. A photo of the front of the unit helps us know the model before the visit.
- 2
On-site diagnosis
The technician checks the filter, coil, fan, capacitor and thermostat in order, then tells you the real cause and what the repair needs before he starts.
- 3
Repair or replace call
If the repair is practical we complete it in the same visit. If the unit is old, the chassis is deeply rusted or the compressor fault is complex, we say so plainly and explain your options.
- 4
Run test and handover
After the repair we run the unit, check the cooling, confirm the drain flows and watch the current settle, then leave the room clean.
Real diagnosis or a quick guess?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| First step | Systematic check of each part | Replace the easiest part |
| Rust | Honest chassis assessment | Ignored until it worsens |
| Dripping | Tilt and tray checked first | Refrigerant added without diagnosis |
| Replace decision | Based on actual condition | May be rushed or delayed |
| Refrigerant type | Read from the unit nameplate | Wrong type may be added |

What sets this district apart
Sha'na is a moderate-density residential district with small and mid-size flats and ground-floor shops relying on window units for cooling. Direct sun, coastal humidity and dust speed coil and drain deterioration. On-site repair saves time and money, especially for shops that cannot shut down the unit for long.
Sha'na is an east-side mixed residential and small-shop district with older window units needing regular maintenance.
Most units are mounted in fairly deep or narrow windows owing to local building design, with drainage exiting directly to external passages.
The AC setup in Sha'na
- 1
Window units in deep window frames
Windows here are deeper than standard due to wall thickness, making the unit secure but needing care during cleaning and repair.
- 2
Drains with no extra piping
Water drains straight from the unit to the exterior or floor, causing rapid pooling if clogged.
- 3
Units with simple mechanical control
Most units here are older with manual or basic remote control, simple to diagnose and repair but needing frequent maintenance.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Sha'na
- 1
Clarify access to the window from inside and outside
Tell us if the room or shop allows free window opening, and if the external passage is safe to stand on during repair.
- 2
Ensure no obstructions around the outdoor unit
Check that the unit's mounting area on the window is clear of items that might block access or cause an accident during inspection.
- 3
Turn off power before the team arrives
Cut power to the unit before the scheduled time to ensure the team's safety during inspection and repair.

FAQ
Questions about Window AC repair
Can a window unit be repaired in the same visit?
Many faults, a clogged filter, a dirty coil, a failed run capacitor and a wrong tilt, are fixed in a single visit. If the unit needs a part the technician does not carry, we arrange a second visit once it is sourced.
How does Jeddah's salty air affect a window unit?
The damp salty air from the sea speeds up corrosion on the metal chassis, fan blades and coil fins. Units on sea-facing walls or higher floors corrode faster. We check how deep the rust goes and tell you honestly whether the unit is worth repairing or whether the chassis has reached the point where replacement saves more.
The unit runs but the compressor will not start. What causes that?
The most common cause is a failed run capacitor that can no longer give the compressor or fan the starting push it needs. The relay is the second likely cause. The technician tests both with instruments and confirms which is at fault before replacing anything.
Why does my window unit drip water into the room?
A window unit drains condensate out of the back, so if it tilts inwards or the drain holes in its base block, the water comes back into the room. We reset the tilt slightly outwards, clean the pan and drain holes, and check the frame is sealed so no water runs down the sides.
Can a faulty thermostat cause the compressor to cycle on and off rapidly?
Yes. A faulty thermostat can send wrong signals that make the compressor cut in and out abnormally, straining the circuit and reducing cooling. The technician tests the thermostat with instruments and separates it from other causes such as the relay or a supply voltage issue before any part is replaced.
Water drips into my shop floor, should I replace the unit or fix it?
Leaks usually come from a blocked drain or tilted unit, not requiring replacement. We find the exact cause and fix it without shutting the shop for long.
Sun hits the window all day, does this affect the unit's problems?
Yes, excessive heat speeds up condenser and coil wear, raising refrigerant pressure. This makes repair more urgent in direct-sun locations.
My window is deep and narrow, can you easily access the unit?
Yes, we work with windows of various shapes and depths. Tell us the measurements and depth before we visit so we bring the right tools.
Shop power drops at peak use, does this affect window AC cooling?
Yes, voltage drop weakens the motor and blower, so you get less than full cooling. We check the voltage on-site and tell you if it is an electrical issue.
