When your display fridge needs attention
- 1
Glass fogs or sweats
In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.
- 2
Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures
If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.
- 3
Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop
A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.
Who it's for
Running a bakery with a display chiller hurting sales
We inspect the air curtain, shelf temperatures and glass clarity in your bakery cabinet and restore the performance that puts your products in the best light.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging a pharmacy with an unstable medicine chiller
We measure shelf temperatures along the full cabinet length and check the fan and door seals to confirm that temperature stays within the required range on every shelf.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.
- 2
Site survey and measurement
The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.
- 3
Diagnosis and explanation
After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.
- 4
Repair and verify
We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart
Al Murjan is a modern northern coastal zone mixing upscale hotels and restaurants with retail shops and cafés in contemporary buildings on open plots. The hot humid coastal climate and salt spray corrode sensitive fridge components fast, especially condensers, fans and tinted glass, and dust clogs vents quickly, reducing cooling efficiency, so display units here need more intensive periodic checks than inland areas.
Al Murjan sits on Jeddah's northern coast north of Khaleej Salman, a contemporary zone with modern hotels, restaurants and retail shops.
Most display fridges here are tall and corner-shaped with dark tinted glass and dual air curtains, fitted with powerful condensers to handle coastal heat.
The AC setup in Al Murjan
- 1
Tall display units with dual-pane tinted glass
Upscale hotels and restaurants in Al Murjan use tall display units with multiple shelves and dual-pane tinted glass for thermal insulation and coastal salt protection.
- 2
Ultra-high-capacity freezer units
Large hotels keep massive freezer units holding hundreds of litres, requiring intensive regular checks to prevent ice buildup and sudden failure.
- 3
Multiple outdoor units on rooftops
Large hotels and restaurants may have multiple outdoor units on rooftops, each facing intense salt spray and coastal moisture exposure.

FAQ
Questions about Display fridges & chillers
Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?
An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.
Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?
Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.
The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?
Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.
My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?
Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.
Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?
Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.
Coastal salt corrodes the fridge fast, how do you address this?
We inspect the condenser, fans and exposed metals monthly, using deep cleaning to remove salt deposits that clog vents and speed corrosion.
The hotel is near the beach with a main entrance, is equipment access straightforward?
We coordinate with the hotel or shop management to choose a suitable time, usually using service entries or lower floors to move equipment smoothly.
The tinted glass is fogged and sticky, is this from salt?
Coastal humidity and salt deposit on the glass inside and out. We clean the glass and drains and check vents to restore clarity and performance.
Is the electrical supply sufficient for multiple display fridges?
We inspect electrical connections and power capacity before any work. If capacity is insufficient, we advise on load distribution or circuit upgrades.
