When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

Who it's for

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Naseem is a balanced residential and commercial district with mid-rise buildings and shops and restaurants evenly distributed along the streets. Spaces are more open than old downtown and streets are wider. High summer temperatures and moderate humidity in the district affect cooling system performance, especially during peak-hour use. Display fridges here run at moderate to high load, requiring regular coil and condenser checks and consistent cleaning.

Al Naseem is in central Jeddah, a balanced residential and commercial district with mid-rise buildings and wider streets.

Most chillers here are medium-sized dual-door display units or open cases, mounted on shop and restaurant floors.

The AC setup in Al Naseem

  1. 1

    Medium dual-door display chillers

Al Naseem shops use medium-sized dual-door display chillers, suited to available space and moderate loads.

  2. 2

Open display cases for fresh products

Shops and cafés use open cases for drinks, fresh food and dairy products.

  3. 3

Outdoor units on mid-height roofs and walls

Outdoor units are roof or wall-mounted on mid-rise buildings, away from intense coastal effects.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

Al Naseem is hot in summer; how does the heat affect display chillers?

Intense heat increases the load on the condenser and coils, potentially reducing cooling efficiency. Monthly or bi-monthly inspections during summer are essential to maintain performance.

My shop is in a residential zone; are there limits on maintenance times?

Some residential areas prefer to avoid noise at certain times. We arrange a convenient time that does not disturb your neighbours.

Does Al Naseem's moderate humidity affect the coils and condenser?

Moderate humidity does not cause acute problems, but monthly or bi-monthly cleaning ensures moisture does not build up on the coils.

Is my shop's power supply adequate for a large display unit?

We check the electrical circuit and total load before installing any unit. If the current circuit is inadequate, we recommend upgrading the electrical service.
