When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

Who it's for

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Riyadh is a modern growing area with large shopping centres, supermarkets and spacious retail shops, enjoying wide streets and relatively modern infrastructure. Display fridges here are larger and more advanced, serving more customers, meaning heavier operation and need for precise, regular servicing. Eastern heat and desert dust impose high cooling load, and the condenser and fans need specialist cleaning to preserve energy efficiency.

Al Riyadh sits in the east, a modern district of large shopping centres and spacious supermarkets.

Display fridges in Al Riyadh are typically large multi-shelf units often linked to central cooling systems, and require regular specialist servicing.

The AC setup in Al Riyadh

  1. 1

Large multi-shelf display fridges linked to central systems

Large shopping centres use huge display fridges connected to a central cooling network serving all shops.

  2. 2

Independent display fridges with separate powerful condensers

Larger shops inside the mall may have independent fridges with their own powerful condensers to ensure high performance.

  3. 3

Smart temperature control systems with continuous monitoring

Modern Al Riyadh systems feature smart controllers and sensors for continuous automatic temperature monitoring throughout the day.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Riyadh

  1. 1

Coordinate with mall management before the date

Ensure mall management approves the visit time and is aware of access to the fridge and any adjacent areas.

  2. 2

Clear customer traffic and stock from the fridge front

Arrange with the shop to move customers and stock away from the fridge an hour before the visit, especially during peak times.

  3. 3

Tell us the condenser location and mechanical room if there is one

Let us know if the condenser is external or in a shared mechanical room, and whether we need keys or special permission to enter.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

Our fridge is connected to a central cooling system in the mall, how do you service it?

We inspect the fridge unit itself, including its air curtain and thermal insulation, and coordinate with your mall management if we need access to the mechanical room.

The mall runs hot and dust builds up on the condenser, how often should we clean it?

Heat and desert dust speed up buildup, so we recommend cleaning every month to six weeks to maintain efficiency and peak performance.

The mall is busy and sometimes traffic blocks some fridges, how do you coordinate the visit?

We contact the shop and mall manager in advance to confirm the best visit time, and coordinate entry and exit without disrupting commerce.

Our fridge has many shelves, how do you ensure even temperature across them all?

We use multiple temperature probes and check airflow distribution top to bottom, adjusting fan position or vents if needed.
