When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Furqan is a relatively modern northern district dominated by multi-storey apartment blocks and spacious villas, most built in the last two decades to contemporary standards. This building type needs long central ducts running through suspended ceilings and wide spans between rooms, and on-site cutting leaves gaps that bleed cold air and surfaces where Jeddah's humid heat causes condensation. Our workshop manufacture ensures perfect alignment and full insulation with Foster sealant on every seam.

Al Furqan lies in north Jeddah, a district of modern apartment blocks and spacious villas built to contemporary standards.

Most projects here need long trunk ducts spanning entire floors, requiring professional sealing to prevent air leakage.

The AC setup in Al Furqan

  1. 1

Long trunk ducts for entire floors

Al Furqan villas and blocks need long main ducts distributing cold air across wide spaces, and workshop making ensures proper alignment.

  2. 2

Numbered sections ready to hang in suspended ceilings

Modern suspended ceilings need segmented ducts that fit easily between beams and other runs.

  3. 3

Sealed secondary branches for each room

Villas and blocks need sealed secondary branches from the main duct to each room, all Factory-sealed before delivery.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Furqan

  1. 1

Provide the AC design drawing from your engineer

Before measurements, send us the design drawing showing duct routes and exact dimensions so we make them precisely.

  2. 2

Confirm suspended ceiling access and clearances

Check that the suspended ceiling space is adequate for the ducts and that access is safe before the survey.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the contractor or site engineer

If the project is still under construction, agree with the site team on our survey date to avoid clashing with other trades.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

How do your made ducts differ from on-site cutting?

Our ducts are sealed with Foster on every seam in the workshop, while on-site cutting leaves gaps that leak cold air and cause humid condensation. Pre-making ensures higher efficiency and lower power bills.

Al Furqan's villas are spacious, can you cover them with one long duct run?

Yes, we make long ducts divided into numbered sections fitted to the villa's size, and connecting them on site is quick and secure.

Al Furqan's northern heat is slightly lighter, does that affect insulation thickness?

The difference is small and coastal humidity remains high, so we maintain consistent insulation thickness to protect against humid condensation in all cases.

Do you handle installation in modern suspended ceilings?

Yes, our numbered duct sections fit modern suspended ceilings, and installation needs coordinating with electricians and plumbers to avoid clashing runs.
