Dedicated duct workshop

Duct fabrication in Al Hazza'iyah

In Al Hazza'iyah, north-east Jeddah, hospitals, hotels and large buildings need complex central AC ducting. Alrabih fabricates duct precisely in the workshop so it arrives on site ready to hang with no air loss at the joints.

Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Hazza'iyah is a relatively newer district with large medical, hotel and commercial projects, wide spans and tall ceilings that call for complex ducting with multiple bends and transitions. On-site fabrication cannot deliver the precise dimensions these larger projects demand, whereas workshop manufacturing ensures every section arrives to exact measurements with lower air leakage and faster site installation.

Al Hazza'iyah lies in north-east Jeddah, a modern district of large-scale medical, hotel and commercial buildings.

Most projects here need rectangular duct with multiple sections and complex bends to distribute air across several storeys and wings.

The AC setup in Al Hazza'iyah

  1. 1

    Complex rectangular multi-section duct

Large medical and hotel projects need rectangular duct in multiple lengths and varied bends to distribute air across several wings and storeys.

  2. 2

Precise transitions and offsets for outlet points

Wings and rooms need air outlets at various points, so we fabricate precise offsets and transitions in the workshop to specification.

  3. 3

Galvanized or aluminium duct per project spec

Hospitals may specify aluminium for weight or galvanized for strength, depending on ventilation and hygiene requirements.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Hazza'iyah

  1. 1

Provide project drawings or signed site measurements

Before the visit, prepare detailed engineering drawings or site measurements signed by the engineer so we fabricate duct to exact specification.

  2. 2

Brief us on ceiling and space constraints

If suspended ceilings are tight or there are architectural constraints, let us know beforehand so we design duct to fit the available space.

  3. 3

Identify the AHU and supply-point locations

Confirm the AHU location and supply points before measurement so we fabricate duct with correct length and angles.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Does workshop-made duct differ from on-site fabrication?

Yes, significantly. Workshop fabrication gives precise dimensions, uniform angles and less air leakage, especially crucial in multi-storey projects.

Our hospital needs complex duct spanning multiple wings, how do you ensure it all fits?

We take precise measurements on site or work from engineering drawings, and fabricate each section in the workshop to fit perfectly during installation.

Al Hazza'iyah is hot and dry, does that affect duct quality?

Heat and aridity do not degrade galvanized or aluminium duct, and precise-fit duct minimises cool-air loss under intense heat.

The hotel's suspended ceilings are very tight, how does the duct fit through?

We coordinate during site measurement around the available headroom and width, and fabricate duct to fit the tight space precisely.
