Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Kandarah has large commercial buildings, warehouses and storage facilities, many with high ceilings and wide open spaces. Precisely fabricated duct distributes air efficiently across the large areas uninterrupted, and galvanized sheet withstands heavy use and humidity. On-site hand cutting risks air leaks, while ready-made duct ensures stable performance and energy savings.

Al Kandarah in central Jeddah holds large commercial buildings, warehouses and distributors with high ceilings and wide open spaces.

Most warehouses here need rectangular duct with wide cross-sections to cover the large space with even air distribution.

The AC setup in Al Kandarah

  1. 1

    Wide-section duct for large spaces

Large warehouses need main duct with very wide cross-sections, and fabricated duct allows precise dimensions with zero leakage.

  2. 2

    Robust fittings for heavy loads

Wide heavy duct needs sturdy reinforced fittings for mounting, all fabricated to handle the load.

  3. 3

    Galvanized sheet for open warehouses

If the warehouse is near the coast or has open high ceiling, galvanized sheet offers longer protection against rust.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Kandarah

  1. 1

    Get space and ceiling dimensions

Large warehouses may need precise measurements from drawings or a site visit to record ceiling heights and space dimensions.

  2. 2

Coordinate visit time with warehouse manager

Brief the warehouse manager about the measurement visit in advance, so it does not clash with storage or shipping activities.

  3. 3

    Check vehicle and equipment access

Confirm the main warehouse entrance fits the team vehicle and equipment before the visit day.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Can you fabricate wide duct for a large warehouse?

Yes, we fabricate very wide duct sections to warehouse needs from galvanized sheet that handles heavy loads.

Warehouse entry is difficult, how do you get equipment in?

Fabricated duct arrives in reasonably sized sections that move easily through the warehouse's large doors, then are joined precisely on site.

The warehouse is open and coastal humidity is high, does duct corrode?

Galvanized duct resists coastal humidity and salt effectively, and stays protected if the warehouse is fully enclosed.

Do you need to shut down the warehouse during installation?

Not necessarily, but scheduling outside peak hours speeds installation and minimizes conflict with business operations.
