Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Salamah mixes modern villas with mid-rise residential blocks, many of which are fitted or planning central AC systems. Workshop-fabricated duct cut to your exact site dimensions saves fitting time and cuts field errors, especially in villas with tight hallways and complex angles that need custom bends and takeoffs.

Al Salamah in west Jeddah holds modern villas and mid-rise blocks with relatively open spaces between buildings.

Most central runs here pass through interior corridors and tight horizontal cavities, needing precise measurement and complex transitional fittings.

The AC setup in Al Salamah

  1. 1

    Rectangular duct with complex transitions

Most villas and blocks here need rectangular duct threading through tight passages, with custom bends and transitions at each corner.

  2. 2

    Round duct for branch runs

Branch runs from the main trunk are often round to reduce resistance and noise, and to wind around obstacles more smoothly.

  3. 3

    Aluminium duct for high-humidity areas

Some Al Salamah villas use aluminium in living areas near bathrooms or utility rooms to avoid corrosion over the long term.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Salamah

  1. 1

Get an architect's drawing or corridor measurements

Send us an architect's drawing of the villa or building, or measurements of the corridors and angles, so we fabricate the duct precisely before the visit.

  2. 2

Tell us where power lines and pipes run

Mark on the plan or describe where electrical wires and pipes run, so the duct route avoids any crossing.

  3. 3

Confirm entry and exit openings are ready

Check that distribution openings in the ceiling or walls are already drilled or ready for drilling before the installation day.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Is workshop duct better than cutting and joining on site?

Yes, cutting on site cannot hold tight dimensions, and joints do not sit snug. Workshop duct arrives calibrated and ready to hang immediately, with no recutting or on-site welding.

Villas here have tight hallways, does duct fit the limited spaces?

We measure the hallways and angles on site, then fabricate custom transitions and bends for each tight corner, so the run fits without field modifications.

Al Salamah often has high humidity, does galvanised sheet hold up?

G90 galvanised sheet is engineered for high humidity and coastal climates. Aluminium is also a good choice if you prefer lighter weight and higher corrosion resistance.

In some villas, power and drainage lines may cross the duct route, how do you avoid clashes?

We ask the site owner or engineer for a plan showing power lines and pipes before we fabricate, so we make the duct to fit the clear route with no crossings.
