Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.

What sets this district apart

Al Surur is an active commercial area with retail shops and small to mid-size shopping centres needing high-efficiency central AC due to high foot traffic and heat. Installation delays cost shop owners lost sales, so prefabricated ready-to-install duct saves precious time and ensures precise installation without on-site errors that hurt performance or efficiency.

Al Surur is in south Jeddah, an active commercial area with shops and small markets relying on dependable central AC.

Most shops and shopping centres here use a single central AC unit connected to a unified duct network.

The AC setup in Al Surur

  1. 1

Central duct network for a single shopping centre

Shopping centres in Al Surur need a unified duct network feeding all shops and passages from one central unit with balanced distribution.

  2. 2

    Rectangular duct for common passages

Shared passages and suspended ceilings need flat rectangular duct that fits easily and distributes air efficiently.

  3. 3

Separate duct branches for each shop

Each shop gets its own separate duct branch connected to a control valve that allows air adjustment to shop needs.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Surur

  1. 1

Get shopping centre plans and ceiling drawings

Obtain clear architectural drawings of all floors, shops, passages and suspended ceilings.

  2. 2

Coordinate with centre management and shop owners

Confirm timing with centre management to avoid install clashing with shop opening hours or customer traffic.

  3. 3

Prepare safe space for long duct delivery

Plan sufficient safe space for unloading long duct sections without disrupting customer flow or shop closures.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

The shop opens soon and AC must be ready, does prefabricated duct speed this up?

Yes, prefabricated duct arrives ready to install immediately with no cutting or modification, saving weeks and ensuring the shop opens on time.

Shops in Al Surur are close together and streets are very narrow, how do you handle that?

We agree on the safest drop-off point as close as possible, and prefabricated duct is long but relatively light, making it easier to carry manually through tight passages.

The shopping centre has multiple floors and sections, each needing different air volumes, can you handle it?

Yes, we fabricate separate takeoffs and branches for each section or floor, with dampers and control valves that allow air balancing per demand.

Duct pressure and noise sometimes bother customers, how do you minimise that?

Duct with sealed joints and no gaps reduces air leakage and noise significantly, and correct sizing ensures quiet flow at low velocity.
