Industrial cooling done right

Factory HVAC in Al Bawadi

In Al Bawadi, central Jeddah, large factories and warehouses face severe heat from direct sunlight, high ceilings and intensive use. We design central cooling systems that maintain working conditions and stock in very hot conditions.

When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Bawadi is a rapidly expanding zone with varied warehouses, workshops and factories of different sizes, all exposed to direct sunlight all day with little natural shade due to rapid development and wide open spaces. The ceilings in these buildings are often very high, making even cooling distribution harder, and dust, humidity and severe heat affect system performance quickly. The design must account for direct solar exposure, strong filters and a regular maintenance schedule.

Al Bawadi is in central Jeddah, a rapidly expanding zone of varied warehouses, workshops and factories all exposed to direct sunlight.

Most industrial buildings here use powerful compressors and distributed piping with multiple outlets to cover the large volume and height.

The AC setup in Al Bawadi

  1. 1

Central system with one or more compressors for large areas

Large warehouses and factories need a strong compressor or multiple units distributed to cover volume and height.

  2. 2

Insulated ducts to reduce heat loss

Insulated ducts prevent heat penetration in the open, very hot zones.

  3. 3

Multiple outlets distributed horizontally and vertically

Distribution across different levels helps cool air reach all corners of the warehouse and reduce hot spots.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Bawadi

  1. 1

Precise layout of the space and current usage

Send a sketch showing product storage areas, heavy equipment and current openings to assess the best locations for outlets and ducts.

  2. 2

Details on stored products and climate requirements

Tell us what goods are stored and whether they need specific temperature or humidity levels so we can design precisely.

  3. 3

Identify safe locations for outdoor units and roof access

Confirm the roof can bear the unit weight and there is enough space away from vehicle traffic and supply lines.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

Direct sun on the roof increases heat inside the factory, how do you handle this?

We size larger compressors to handle the extra heat load from solar radiation, mount outdoor units in shaded spots where possible, and recommend roof insulation to reduce heat absorption.

Our warehouse is in an open location with few nearby walls, is there a problem mounting outdoor units?

Open spaces give us more mounting options, but strong winds can reduce unit efficiency, so we choose a sheltered spot and secure it firmly.

Our warehouse stores heat-sensitive products, what temperature does the system maintain?

That depends on product requirements; we recommend reviewing storage specs and designing the system accordingly, with adjustable thermostats and continuous monitoring.

Dust and heat quickly clog filters, what is your regular maintenance plan?

We clean or replace filters every two weeks to monthly depending on dust level, and recommend a maintenance contract covering the compressor, filters and ducts.
