When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Quraini'yah in south Jeddah is a growing industrial zone with medium-sized factories and storage, slightly smaller than Al Tadamun, mixing old and new buildings. The hot, dry desert climate means high evaporation rates, pressuring the cooling system further, while fine dust clogs filters, and medium spaces between factories require balancing cooling capacity with efficient air distribution. Maintenance scheduling is crucial as production runs year-round.

Al Quraini'yah in south Jeddah is a growing industrial zone with medium-sized factories and storage, mixing older and newer buildings.

Medium factories here need medium-capacity central cooling, some rooftop packages and some chillers, and outdoor unit placement is easier than tight zones but still requires careful planning.

The AC setup in Al Quraini'yah

  1. 1

    Medium-capacity central cooling units

Medium factories in Al Quraini'yah need central units of medium to high capacity, either rooftop packages or smaller chillers depending on size and thermal load.

  2. 2

    Balanced horizontal and vertical ductwork

Storage and workshops here vary in size, so we design balanced ductwork combining horizontal runs and vertical distribution based on space needs.

  3. 3

    Multi-stage filtration systems

Fine desert dust demands robust multi-stage filtration, installed with easy periodic cleaning and regular filter replacement built in.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Quraini'yah

  1. 1

Measure space and ceiling height precisely

Measure the factory or storage length, width and clear internal height, including any obstacles, so we design the system accurately.

  2. 2

    Identify equipment and heat sources

Tell us where main equipment and high-heat processes are so we balance cool air distribution around these zones.

  3. 3

    Ensure roof and outdoor access

Check the roof and available outdoor areas for unit and condenser placement, and verify the access routes are safe for the team during install and maintenance.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

The dry heat here differs from coastal humidity, how do you address it?

Dry heat needs high-efficiency units and ducts balanced between cooling and drying, and we recommend fortnightly filter cleaning because dry dust clogs fast.

The factory runs year-round with no summer break, does that increase the cooling load?

Yes, continuous operation means constant thermal load on the system with no rest periods, so we choose units rated slightly higher and recommend monthly intensive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Tall, narrow storage areas, how do you distribute cool air evenly?

We study the storage height and width and design balanced vertical and horizontal ducts, sometimes adding fans or distributed risers to ensure even coverage top to bottom.

Desert dust and fine sand, do you need special filters?

Yes, we install multi-stage filters with fine mesh to catch desert dust and replace them regularly every two to four weeks depending on dust intensity.
