When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Salamah hosts medium and large factories in food, textiles and light manufacturing, mostly with high ceilings and open production floor layouts. The concentrated heat from machines, furnaces and compressors needs a strong ventilation system that distributes air evenly over work areas, not just cools the space. Raw material and process dust blocks filters quickly, so we select higher-capacity filters and plan frequent cleaning cycles.

Al Salamah is west Jeddah's industrial zone, with medium factories and production lines running high heat all day.

Most factories here use rooftop or overhead units with wide distribution ducts to cover the large open production floors.

The AC setup in Al Salamah

  1. 1

Heavy-duty rooftop units with wide duct distribution

Large Al Salamah factories need heavy rooftop units and wide distribution ducts to cover expansive floors with even airflow.

  2. 2

General ventilation with localized cooling zones

We combine general ventilation to exhaust hot and contaminated air from the floor, with strong localized cooling around the high-heat sources.

  3. 3

    High-capacity filters with frequent maintenance

Heavy production dust requires larger filters and a pre-planned cleaning schedule to prevent system blockage.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Salamah

  1. 1

Identify main heat sources and furnaces

Before the visit, tell us where the furnaces, compressors and hot production lines are located so we position units and ducts correctly.

  2. 2

Provide roof and mounting point access

Ensure the team can safely access the roof and open floor areas where we'll mount units and run ducts.

  3. 3

Confirm shutdown window or focus the crew

Agree with us on the right time for duct installation: whether we work during production shutdown or in specific hours without disrupting lines.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

How do you manage continuous machine heat in a factory?

We identify the main heat sources (furnaces, compressors, production lines) and position strong cooling units near them, with general ventilation balancing temperature across the entire floor.

Our open floor is very large, can one system cover it all?

Yes, but we need wide distribution ducts and multiple units at strategic points to ensure even airflow with no dead zones across the floor.

Dust and pollutants from production clog filters fast, how do you protect them?

We select higher-capacity filters and schedule regular maintenance to clean or replace them before they clog, and may add a pre-filter stage to catch heavy particulates first.

Can the system run around production and maintenance schedules?

Yes, we design the installation and ducting so parts of the system can be shut down or run independently, and offer flexible maintenance contracts matched to your factory's hours.
