When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Shuwaidi mixes light and medium factories with storage warehouses, many operating long shifts. The high coastal humidity affects moisture-sensitive products like textiles, garments and stored materials, and damp air creates stagnant heat that tires workers. We choose cooling systems with advanced dehumidifiers that balance heat reduction and humidity control to match production needs.

Al Shuwaidi sits in north Jeddah, a district of light factories and storage with warehouses and open production spaces.

Factories in Al Shuwaidi typically need cooling units paired with dehumidifiers, because coastal humidity affects textile, garment and inventory quality.

The AC setup in Al Shuwaidi

  1. 1

    Central cooling with dehumidifier

Factories and warehouses in Al Shuwaidi benefit from a central cooling unit paired with a dehumidifier working in parallel to protect products from coastal humidity.

  2. 2

    Advanced air-handling system

Air passes through a primary filter, cooling unit, then dehumidifier before distribution, ensuring clean, cold and dry air reaches the factory floor simultaneously.

  3. 3

    Ventilation ducts with separate drainage

Water from cooling and dehumidification needs separate drainage and regular monitoring to prevent leaks onto products and inventory.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Shuwaidi

  1. 1

    Provide humidity and product details

Tell us the current humidity levels, the products stored or made, and the target temperature and humidity ranges by production standards.

  2. 2

    Mark production and storage zones

Mark on the floor plan where production, storage and worker areas are so we can design cooling and humidity distribution for each zone's specific needs.

  3. 3

Confirm team access to roof and utility areas

Outdoor units and air handlers may need roof or external storage space. Check that access paths are safe and the roof can support the weight.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

Our humidity is very high, will standard AC be enough?

No, cooling alone does not control humidity as sensitive products need. We use a cooling system with a separate dehumidifier or combine both based on production needs and target humidity levels.

We have humidity problems in our warehouse, how do you solve them?

We measure humidity and temperature in the warehouse and select a cooling and ventilation system with advanced air treatment that balances cooling and dehumidification to protect inventory.

Our shifts are long and workers are exhausted by the damp heat, will a new system help?

Yes, a cooling system that controls both temperature and humidity reduces heat stress for workers and improves productivity during long shifts.

How do you handle electrical runs and drainage in an older warehouse?

We inspect the existing electrical system and plumbing first, calculate the power and drainage needs for the new system, and may need to upgrade wiring or add separate drainage lines.
