When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Hamra is a mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood with restaurants, food shops and small hotels. Oriental and specialist restaurants are common here, each relying on multiple display and storage fridges under heavy daily load. Coastal west-side humidity and heat, combined with heavy daily use, cause faster wear in metal parts and seals. Restaurants need regular servicing to maintain stable cooling and food safety.

Al Hamra sits in west Jeddah as a mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood with diverse restaurants and food shops.

Most fridges here are multiple display and storage units in busy restaurants holding diverse goods (meats, fish, vegetables, drinks).

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My restaurant has many fridges and each warms at different times, is this normal?

Each fridge may have different issues, or the electrical load may be weak due to old wiring. We inspect all fridges and examine the electrics, condensers and seals.

The fridges are crammed in a small tight kitchen, can you move around?

Yes, our team is used to tight and crowded kitchens in Al Hamra. We work carefully and schedule at a quiet time so we do not disrupt operations.

There is a lot of grease and dirt between the fridges, does this cause failure?

Yes, grease and dirt block condensers and fans and reduce cooling fast. We clean the condensers and areas around the fridges as part of servicing.

How often do I need servicing with such heavy use?

With multiple fridges under heavy use, we recommend servicing every 4 to 6 weeks. Set up a regular schedule and we help you avoid sudden failure.
