When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Manarat is a modern development zone with residential complexes, small hotels and Asian and Western restaurants. The buildings are newer than central areas, and restaurants and hotels have medium to large display and storage fridges. High summer heat and coastal humidity stress cooling systems, so fridges here often need regular preventive servicing to avoid sudden failure during peak season.

Al Manarat sits at far north Jeddah and is a zone of modern hotel and residential development.

Most fridges here are medium to large display and storage units, mounted in hotel and restaurant kitchens with decent space and robust electrical service.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Manarat

  1. 1

Tell us the number and size of fridges

If the hotel or restaurant has more than one fridge, tell us the number and locations so we can prepare the time and tools needed.

Condensers may be on the roof or external walls. Check they are safe to reach and there are no electrical or other equipment hazards round them.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

Our hotel is busy in summer and the fridges are under strain, do you recommend regular servicing?

Yes, servicing every month or two during high season is essential to prevent sudden failure. We can set up a schedule that fits your usage.

Our hotel kitchen is tight and the fridges are wedged in, how do you reach them?

We handle tight, crowded kitchens. We bring specialist tools and work carefully round other equipment, and schedule during a quieter time if possible.

The fridges are warming up and I am worried about the food, how fast can you respond?

We work Saturday to Thursday, 8 am to 8 pm. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and describe the fridge condition, and we will find the nearest available time.

The new fridge started giving problems after two months, is this a manufacturing fault?

It may not be a factory fault. Heavy use and high kitchen heat can cause early failure in parts. We inspect the unit and determine the real cause and the right fix.
