When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Quzain is a busy commercial zone in south Jeddah with diverse food shops and small to medium restaurants spread across wider streets. The climate is very hot and proximity to the sea raises humidity, creating a challenging environment for commercial fridges. Desert dust and salt from sea air accumulate on the condenser and metal parts faster, cutting cooling efficiency and raising the risk of rust and corrosion.

Al Quzain sits in south Jeddah, a busy commercial zone with diverse food shops and restaurants.

Commercial fridges here are exposed to salt and humidity from sea air and need servicing every three weeks to maintain performance.

The AC setup in Al Quzain

  1. 1

    Large commercial fridges for restaurants

Restaurants and larger shops in Al Quzain use large units with powerful compressors to handle heavy loads.

  2. 2

Outdoor units exposed to salt and strong winds

Proximity to the sea means outdoor units are constantly exposed to salt effects and strong winds.

  3. 3

    Systems with high-capacity fans

High humidity demands very powerful fans to handle cooling damp, salt-laden air and airflow resistance.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Quzain

  1. 1

Check metal parts for rust before the visit

Salt and humidity can cause rapid rust, check metal parts and frames before the visit and tell us if you notice any rust.

  2. 2

Tell us about days with heavy salty winds

Heavy salty winds and storms can directly affect the outdoor unit, tell us how often this happens so we schedule servicing accordingly.

  3. 3

Confirm the outdoor unit location and accessibility

Because of salt effects, the outdoor unit location may be sensitive. Tell us if it is exposed to direct wind or in a hard-to-reach spot.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

Does salt from the sea damage the fridge, how do we protect it?

Yes, salt causes rapid rust on metals. Regular cleaning of salt and dust and checking metal parts prevent corrosion and extend the fridge's life.

Does high humidity increase power consumption?

Yes, humidity makes the compressor work harder to cool damp air. Regular servicing and cleaning improve compressor efficiency and cut energy use.

Does the outdoor unit need protection from salt and dust?

The outdoor unit is directly exposed to salt and dust. Regular cleaning and possibly a simple protective cover can reduce the impact of salt and humidity.

How often do we need servicing in Al Quzain because of the sea?

Because of salt and humidity, we recommend servicing at least every three weeks. On days with strong winds or salt storms, you may need extra checks.
