When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Ruwais is a congested commercial district in central Jeddah with a high concentration of small to medium restaurants, cafés and food shops. Fridges here run continuously under high heat and frequent use pressure, and tight kitchens plus coastal humidity speed up grease and salt buildup on coils. Stock loss from a fridge failure is immediate, and coordinating service with the shop or restaurant requires advance planning.

Al Ruwais lies in central Jeddah, a congested commercial zone packed with closely spaced restaurants and food shops.

Most restaurants and shops here run small to medium glass display fridges and storage cabinets, all working under very high daily pressure.

The AC setup in Al Ruwais

  1. 1

    Small compact glass display fridges

Small restaurants and cafés in Al Ruwais use compact display fridges for beverages and cold food, and coils soil quickly from tight kitchen conditions.

  2. 2

    Storage cabinets with limited capacity

Small restaurants use compact to medium storage cabinets to save space, which increases the load on each unit.

  3. 3

    Condenser units on shop facades

Fridges typically have external condensers on shop facades near the street, exposed to dust, salt and heat.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ruwais

  1. 1

Coordinate the visit around working hours

Let us know the best time to visit without disrupting service, and the fridge may need partial unloading before cleaning.

  2. 2

Clear access to the external coils

If the external coils are on the facade, ensure the team can safely access them from the street or small roof space.

  3. 3

    Note any previous issues

If the fridge has had issues before, tell us the symptoms and history to speed up diagnosis during this visit.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

I run a small restaurant and my fridge temperature keeps climbing, what can I do?

Usually grease buildup on coils from heavy kitchen use. We clean coils, fan and gaskets and recommend monthly service because your fridge is under intense pressure.

My kitchen is tiny and the fridge sits next to the oven, how do I maintain cooling?

Oven heat significantly increases condenser load. We recommend strong exhaust ventilation around the fridge and cleaning at least every three weeks.

My external coils are on the facade near the street, does this affect performance?

Yes, dust and salt from street air quickly coat the coils. Monthly or fortnightly cleaning is essential to maintain cooling performance.

Do I need a new fridge or can old faults be fixed?

Most old faults can be fixed by replacing gaskets or cleaning coils. But if the compressor is damaged or there is a major leak, our team will advise on replacement options.
