When your freezer needs attention
- 1
The freezer is not freezing hard
Products feel soft or partly thawed even though the freezer is running. The cause may be the thermostat, the compressor, the refrigerant charge or the temperature sensor circuit. A site diagnosis tells you which one needs fixing.
- 2
Ice building up and not defrosting
A thick ice layer on the freezer wall or evaporator points to a fault in the defrost cycle, whether in the defrost heater, timer or sensor. Left alone, the build-up strains the compressor and steadily raises electricity use.
- 3
A door that will not seal or a unit that keeps alarming
A worn door gasket lets warm humid air in constantly, building ice and pressing the compressor harder. We check the gasket, the door frame and the alarm switch to find the cause of repeated alarms and put it right.
Who it's for
Your home freezer has stopped freezing hard
We diagnose the fault at your home, whether in the compressor, thermostat or door gasket, and advise you on keeping the contents safe while we work.
Ask on WhatsAppYour shop freezer is alarming and stock is at risk
We check the defrost cycle, door gasket and compressor at your shop, and give practical guidance on protecting frozen stock throughout the repair.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Describe the fault
Send us the freezer type, the fault you have noticed and your district, and we tell you what the technician will need before the visit.
- 2
On-site diagnosis
The technician checks the compressor, evaporator, defrost circuit and door gasket, then explains what he found and proposes the repair before starting any work.
- 3
Repair and reset
We fix the faulty part, reset the defrost cycle if needed, and test the freeze temperature and alarm after closing the unit.
- 4
Performance check and handover
We confirm the freezer reaches the right freeze temperature and the door closes tightly, then explain how to monitor performance over the next few days.
A proper repair or ignoring the fault?

| Diagnosis | Full check on site | Guessing the cause |
| Defrost cycle | Tested and reset | Left unchecked |
| Door gasket | Checked and replaced if needed | Worn seal left leaking |
| Frozen stock | Guidance to keep it safe | No advice given |

What sets this district apart
Al Furusiyah is a sprawling east Jeddah district mixing residential, commercial and agricultural use, with larger gaps between buildings, open plots and orchards, and a climate marked by moderate humidity and dust from nearby farms. Farms and food warehouses here use large freezers and separate freezing rooms with huge capacity, and agricultural dust plus fluctuating humidity accelerate dirt build-up on coils and compressor, so regular maintenance and deep cleaning prevent cooling failure that could spoil entire stock.
Al Furusiyah lies in east Jeddah, a sprawling district with farms, food warehouses and orchards needing intensive cooling.
Al Furusiyah warehouses use separate freezing rooms with huge capacity of 2000 to 5000 litres and beyond, with powerful industrial compressors and multi-line pipe systems.
The AC setup in Al Furusiyah
- 1
Separate freezing room with huge capacity
Al Furusiyah warehouses typically have separate, well-sealed freezing rooms with capacity reaching 5000 litres and beyond.
- 2
Multiple copper line system
Large systems here require multiple copper lines linking the freezing room to the external compressor, with complex joints and branches.
- 3
Powerful industrial compressor outside the warehouse
Compressors here are industrial and very powerful, mounted outside the warehouse in open area or in a dedicated room due to large load.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Furusiyah
- 1
Clear entrance and routes around the freezing room
Remove any obstacles or goods from the entrance and corridors around the freezing room to allow safe and quick access for inspection.
- 2
Have room, electrical and compressor keys ready
Ensure you have keys to all doors, electrical panels and access to the external compressor, so the team can enter quickly.
- 3
Tell us the room capacity and expected storage load
Tell us how much you typically store in the freezing room and when load is highest (harvest season for example), so we can assess compressor adequacy.

FAQ
Questions about Freezer maintenance
Can the freezer be repaired without emptying it completely?
It depends on the fault. Checks on the compressor or an external sensor can be done without touching the contents. Repairs to the evaporator or defrost heater need the freezer emptied, and we tell you in advance and advise how to keep the stock in cool boxes while we work.
Why does my freezer compressor never stop running?
Three common causes: a worn door gasket letting warm air in, ice build-up on the evaporator reducing heat transfer, or low refrigerant. The technician checks all three during the visit and identifies the real cause before any repair.
Why does heavy frost keep building up inside my freezer even though the door closes properly?
The most common cause is a fault in the automatic defrost circuit, whether in the heater element, the timer or the temperature sensor. When this circuit fails, ice accumulates on the evaporator coil until airflow is blocked, cooling weakens and energy use rises. The technician identifies the exact cause by testing each component of the circuit in turn.
Do you service both chest and upright freezers?
Yes, we service both types in homes and shops. Chest and upright freezers share many components such as the compressor, evaporator and thermostat, but the defrost cycle design and coil position differ between them, and our technicians are trained to handle that difference in every case.
Does the freezer type, chest or upright, change how the repair is done?
Yes, in some steps. A chest freezer has the evaporator wrapped around the inner walls, while an upright has it at the back of the compartment with a fan. The position of the defrost heater and how to reach it differ between the two, so the technician needs to know the type before the visit to bring the right tools.
I have a large food warehouse with fresh produce inside, if the freezer fails how long does it hold?
Temperature in a large freezing room drops slowly if doors stay shut, but fresh produce is highly sensitive and may be affected within hours. Call us immediately and close all doors and openings to minimise warm air entry.
Farm dust and land around my warehouse, does it damage the coils and compressor?
Yes, farm dust accumulates fast on evaporator and condenser coils and may enter the compressor, reducing efficiency. We deep-clean coils every month, and regularly inspect filter condition and pipes.
Humidity fluctuates in the warehouse between morning and evening, does it affect the compressor?
Repeated humidity swings can introduce moisture into the refrigeration system and damage the compressor over time. We inspect pipes and joints and ensure adequate air drying in the system, and clean coils of condensation.
I have a large freezing room with a complex pipe system, how do I prevent sudden breakdowns?
For large and complex systems, we recommend preventive maintenance every three weeks: inspecting compressor, pipes, coils, pressure and temperature. Early maintenance prevents sudden shutdowns that could cost thousands.
