When you need a medical HVAC specialist

  1. 1

    Hospital or clinic under construction

The right design starts before any duct is installed, because ventilation and filtration needs differ from the surgical suite to the waiting area. An early survey saves costly alterations after the building is finished.

  2. 2

Departments reporting warm air or odours

In an existing medical building, weak cooling in one department or odours crossing into an adjacent area signals an imbalance in the air distribution or extraction system. Finding the cause needs measurement, not guesswork.

  3. 3

Maintenance contract for a running facility

A hospital does not close for equipment servicing. We schedule preventive maintenance visits department by department, coordinated with facility management, and carry out repairs with the smallest possible effect on daily operations.

Who it's for

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Survey and requirements

We visit the facility, map the heat loads and air requirements for each department, and agree the duct routes before any design work begins.

  2. 2

    Design and supply

We design the duct network and fabricate it in our own workshop to SMACNA specifications, and supply units from our authorised brands: Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold.

  3. 3

    Phased coordinated installation

In operating buildings we work with management to phase the installation so adjacent departments stay open, and control dust and noise away from patient areas.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and follow-up

We commission the systems, measure airflow in each department, and adjust the dampers until the design requirements are met, then hand over the facility with a maintenance plan.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Hospitals in Al Fadilah are modern buildings with high construction standards and carefully planned interior spaces, but extreme heat and high humidity south of Jeddah demand very high cooling capacity. Several clinics and medical centres cluster geographically, allowing future expansions and system cooperation. Outdoor space exists but surrounding residential areas impose noise and vibration limits. Our maintenance focuses on compressor performance, humidification and digital monitors to ensure stable operation under extreme heat.

Al Fadilah is a developed district in south Jeddah with modern high-standard medical buildings near residential areas.

Al Fadilah hospitals need very high-capacity cooling systems with outdoor units carefully mounted to minimise noise and vibration toward surrounding residential areas.

The AC setup in Al Fadilah

  1. 1

Very high-capacity system with noise isolation

Al Fadilah demands very high-capacity equipment with flexible bases and sound isolation to protect surrounding residential areas.

  2. 2

Shared cooling network for clustered clinics

If several clinics cluster with shared management, we can design a shared network with separate branches for each.

  3. 3

Connected digital monitors with instant alerts

Modern hospitals need always-on monitoring systems that record conditions 24/7 and send instant alerts if any fault occurs.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Fadilah

  1. 1

Confirm units can be sited away from homes

Position outdoor units as far as possible from surrounding residential windows to minimise noise impact.

  2. 2

    Prepare precise heat load measurements

Give the team precise information about hospital area, windows and medical equipment so they can calculate cooling capacity accurately.

  3. 3

Coordinate with neighbouring facilities on work times

If other clinics are nearby, coordinate with them on installation and maintenance times to avoid disrupting shared medical services.

FAQ

Questions about Hospital HVAC

How do ventilation needs differ across hospital departments?

Ventilation needs vary from one department to the next based on the activity in each area and the requirements set by the facility's designer and the site survey. Operating theatres need highly filtered, directionally controlled air, while patient rooms, corridors and administrative areas each carry different requirements. We build the duct network and select units from the facility's drawings and its specific requirements, not from general assumptions.

Can systems be maintained without stopping sensitive departments?

Yes, but it requires careful planning before the maintenance date. We agree with facility management on a schedule that names the section and the right time window, then isolate the target section using dampers and blanking plates without affecting adjacent departments. Corrective tasks such as replacing a capacitor or repairing a flare joint are carried out within the agreed time window.

What governs duct network design in a medical building?

Design is governed by the approved facility drawings and each department's requirements as defined by the site survey and the specialist designer. We fabricate ducts in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to project dimensions, and use Kimmco and Armaflex insulation with Foster sealants to control leakage. Distribution and pressure in each section follow the specifications drawn for that department individually.

Do you work with small clinics or only hospitals?

We work with medical facilities of all sizes, from a clinic in a residential district to a multi-storey medical complex. The size of the facility does not change the principle: the site survey is the starting point, and from it we determine unit types, duct dimensions and fresh-air requirements for each zone. Preventive and corrective maintenance contracts are available for clinics and hospitals alike.

Residential areas are close to the hospital, is noise a concern?

Yes, we select low-noise outdoor units and mount them on flexible bases that absorb vibration, and check filters regularly because blockages increase noise.

Heat and humidity together in Al Fadilah, what cooling capacity is needed?

We calculate precise heat load based on hospital size, windows and medical equipment, and select equipment 20 to 30 per cent above minimum.

Al Fadilah clinics are close to each other, can their systems be linked?

Yes, if clinics are close and have shared management, we can design a shared cooling network with independent branches per clinic to preserve autonomy.

Do you support the hospital with connected digital monitors?

Yes, we install connected digital monitors that record temperature and humidity 24/7 and send instant alerts if any fault or deviation from standards occurs.
