When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Rimal is a modern district of contemporary malls, retail shops and advanced shopping centres where wide glass frontages and open entrances demand powerful, steady HVAC that handles continuous hot-air and humidity influx. Displayed goods and heavy customer traffic compound the heat load, especially in afternoon and evening peaks, so the system needs precise temperature and humidity control to prevent stock damage and maintain indoor air quality.
Al Rimal, in south Jeddah, combines modern retail shops, large malls and advanced shopping centres.
Most malls and larger shops in Al Rimal run centralised AC systems or package units to distribute cool air evenly across the whole space.
The AC setup in Al Rimal
- 1
Distributed central AC system
Large Al Rimal malls use extensive ductwork and powerful central units to distribute cool air evenly across all wings and retail sections.
- 2
Package units for standalone shops
Independent retail shops in Al Rimal often use rooftop or facade-mounted package units for high efficiency and separate control from neighbouring malls.
- 3
Advanced humidity control
The AC system includes continuous humidity monitoring and enhanced drainage, especially in display areas and small stockrooms within the shop.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Rimal
- 1
Identify approved maintenance windows
Liaise with mall or shop management about the best maintenance and installation times to avoid disrupting opening hours and customers.
- 2
Check drainage routes and piping
Confirm you know where current drainage outlets are and any underground ducting routes, since excess moisture may pool in unexpected spots.
- 3
Document the heat sources
Note the locations of intense lighting, open doors, hot displays and any small kitchens, as these determine the system's sizing and capacity.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My shop has large glass doors open to the street, can the AC keep up?
Yes, but it needs a robust system built for continuous hot-air infiltration. We size the unit based on your shop's footprint and door openings, and often recommend heat-reflective windows or thermal curtains to cut the load.
Our shop has very intense lighting, does that add to the heat?
Absolutely, intense lighting is a major heat source, especially older types. We recommend switching to LED lighting, which generates far less heat and noticeably reduces the AC load.
When is the best time to maintain the system without disrupting customers?
We work by arrangement with shop or mall management, scheduling maintenance before opening or after closing, or during quieter morning hours where feasible.
Cold AC air causes moisture to pool on the floors, is that a risk to the stock?
Yes, excess moisture damages textiles, electronics and food stock. We clean drainage pipes regularly and select systems with precise humidity control to prevent condensation and pooling.
