Split AC installation in Al Nuzlah Al Yamaniyah

In Al Nuzlah Al Yamaniyah, south Jeddah, split installation needs precision in diverse residential neighbourhoods mixing villas and modern blocks. Alrabih positions both units carefully, runs insulated copper and proper drainage, vacuums the line before start-up for effective performance from day one.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Al Nuzlah Al Yamaniyah is a relatively modern district mixing detached family villas, medium-rise apartment blocks and planned residential projects, served by fairly wide streets and accessible outdoor areas. This layout offers good flexibility for outdoor unit placement on roofs or walls, but some villas may need longer copper runs, and shared residential blocks require coordination with building management or neighbours during installation.

Al Nuzlah Al Yamaniyah lies in south Jeddah, a modern residential district of mixed villas and blocks with relatively open outdoor areas.

Villas in Al Nuzlah typically need one or more splits depending on size, apartment blocks may need one to two per unit, and outdoor units usually go on roofs or distant external walls.

The AC setup in Al Nuzlah Al Yamaniyah

  1. 1

One or more splits based on villa or flat size

Villas and blocks in Al Nuzlah vary in size, so small villas may need one split, while larger ones may need three or four depending on room count and usage.

  2. 2

Outdoor unit on roof or distant wall

The open spaces in Al Nuzlah allow placing the outdoor unit on the roof or a distant external wall away from windows and entrances.

  3. 3

    Medium to long copper runs

The distance between units can be medium in flats or long in large villas, requiring longer copper and strong insulation.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Nuzlah Al Yamaniyah

  1. 1

Confirm outdoor unit location and safe route

Decide where you want the outdoor unit and what the safe route for copper and drain is through the villa or block, and confirm it will be accessible for maintenance.

  2. 2

Prepare power point near indoor unit

Ensure there is a safe power point near the indoor unit location, or ask for our advice on safe connection options before installation.

  3. 3

Coordinate with building management if needed

If the flat is in a shared block, notify building management about the visit time and drilling in shared walls before installation.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My villa is large, how many splits do I need?

The number of splits depends on your villa's size, room count and thermal insulation, so we recommend a site visit to assess the space and usage for the optimal number.

The outdoor unit on the roof, can it handle the intense heat here?

Yes, the intense heat in south Jeddah reduces unit efficiency slightly, but we choose a shaded location when possible and ensure good airflow around it, and we recommend regular maintenance to sustain performance.

Does dust and sand affect the new split here?

Yes, dust from the south may accumulate on the filter and condenser, so we recommend cleaning every month or two and annual maintenance to keep efficiency steady.

The drain line is long from roof to ground, how do you prevent leakage?

We install the drain line with a steady slope from top to bottom, use tight connections and strong insulation, and test it with actual water before closing any openings.
