When to book a technician visit

  1. 1

AC that no longer cools properly

The unit runs but the air is barely cool, you hear knocking from the indoor head, or you find water on the wall. The technician brings pressure gauges and electrical test tools and finds the cause before starting any repair.

  2. 2

A fridge or cold room in your shop

The fridge does not hold temperature, or the compressor runs without cycling off. Stock loss starts before you notice the fault. The technician comes to your shop, checks the circuit and tells you the real condition of the unit.

  3. 3

A sudden fault with no obvious cause

The AC trips the breaker, runs without cooling, or gives off a smell. These symptoms can have different causes. The technician checks the board, compressor, capacitor and coil in the right order and explains what he finds.

What sets this district apart

Al Asalah is a modern residential area of detached villas and twin villas on relatively spacious plots with good street planning and easy access. Most of these villas have central AC systems or multiple split units, and need regular inspection and maintenance because modern villas rely on complex systems. Technicians reach the site quickly and easily because the access roads are wide and parking is adequate.

Al Asalah is in north Jeddah, a district of modern spaced villas on regular plots with wide streets.

Most modern villas in Al Asalah have central AC systems or split-unit groups with outdoor units on roofs or side walls.

The AC setup in Al Asalah

  1. 1

Central AC system with multiple indoor units

Many modern villas in Al Asalah have one central AC system serving several rooms through ducts distributed in walls and ceilings.

  2. 2

Multiple split-unit groups on walls and roofs

Some villas prefer separate split groups per room or wing, with outdoor units on roofs or side walls.

  3. 3

Additional cooling systems for storage areas and wings

Larger villas may need additional cooling units for storage areas or private wings, with separate piping and dedicated maintenance.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Asalah

  1. 1

Tell us the location of the indoor and outdoor units

Before the visit, let us know where the indoor units are located (ceilings, walls) and the outdoor unit (roof, side wall) so we bring the right tools.

  2. 2

Ensure safe access to the roof

If the outdoor unit is on the roof, check that ladders and walkways are safe and secure, and let us know of any obstacles before the visit day.

  3. 3

Provide suitable parking for the vehicle

While Al Asalah's streets are wide and parking is usually adequate, let us know the closest entrance to the units so we do not spend time searching.

FAQ

Questions about HVAC & refrigeration technician

What does the technician bring on the visit?

The technician brings pressure gauges to check the refrigeration cycle, electrical meters to test the capacitor, relay and control board, and leak detection and flare joint tools. The exact kit depends on the fault description you give when you book.

Can the technician check the AC and the fridge in the same visit?

Yes. The technician covers both air conditioning and refrigeration, so if you have a faulty AC and a commercial fridge or cold unit at the same location he inspects both in one visit and explains the condition of each separately before any repair begins.

How does the technician explain the fault before any work begins?

The technician diagnoses the fault first, whether a failing capacitor, a deteriorated flare joint or a blocked drain line, then tells you what he found, what work is needed and which parts must be replaced. No work starts until you have approved what he has explained.

What happens if the repair needs a spare part?

After the inspection the technician names the part needed and explains why. If the part is available on site the repair is done in the same visit. If it has to be sourced first, he agrees a second visit with you. No replacement is started without your knowledge of what will be done.

Is the inspection for a split unit different from a ducted or cassette unit?

Yes. A split unit gives direct access to the coil, filter and flare joint. A ducted or cassette unit also needs the plenum, dampers and duct runs checked to confirm air is distributed correctly. The technician decides the inspection method after seeing the unit type and installation at your site.

My modern villa has a complex AC system, how do you diagnose the fault?

Our technicians bring diagnostic tools, pressure gauges and leak detectors, inspect the indoor and outdoor units and piping, and explain the problem and solution before starting any work.

Our outdoor units are on the roof, can you reach them safely?

Yes, we confirm safe roof access and ask you to check the ladder and walkways are secure before we visit, and we only climb if the path is safe.

High outdoor temperatures affect my unit's efficiency, is that normal?

Yes, outdoor units in Al Asalah face direct sun on roofs and walls, which raises their temperature and reduces efficiency, and this can be improved with shade or regular maintenance.

Does my villa need regular checks on a large commercial fridge?

Yes, large commercial fridges need at least half-yearly checks on the compressor, lines and valves, and we send maintenance reminders based on your service contract.
