When your window unit needs attention

  1. 1

Weak cooling even on full power

The room stays warm even with the unit running at full. Most often the coil or filter is blocked with the dust and salt Jeddah's air carries; cleaning them brings the cooling back without any parts.

  2. 2

    Water leaking into the room

Dripping inside the room does not always mean a mechanical fault. The unit needs a slight tilt toward the outside so condensate runs away. We check the tilt, the drain tray and the drain holes before anything else.

  3. 3

Loud noise or a fan that will not spin

Grinding or heavy vibration usually points to a fan with broken blades, a worn shaft or a foreign object inside the unit. A fan that does not start while the compressor hums is often a failed run capacitor.

Who it's for

  • Your flat's window unit drips onto the floor

We check the unit tilt, drain tray and drain holes on site and correct the real cause so the dripping does not return.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us what is happening: noise, drip or weak cooling. A photo of the front of the unit helps us know the model before the visit.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

The technician checks the filter, coil, fan, capacitor and thermostat in order, then tells you the real cause and what the repair needs before he starts.

  3. 3

    Repair or replace call

If the repair is practical we complete it in the same visit. If the unit is old, the chassis is deeply rusted or the compressor fault is complex, we say so plainly and explain your options.

  4. 4

    Run test and handover

After the repair we run the unit, check the cooling, confirm the drain flows and watch the current settle, then leave the room clean.

What sets this district apart

Industrial City holds administration buildings, workshops and warehouses with simple designs and open interior spaces; most units are window AC because it is the cheapest and fastest to install in work areas. The surrounding industrial environment raises dust and fine particles on coils and motors, speeding wear and failure. Our team inspects quickly to avoid disrupting your schedule and handles any short-fix repair on the spot.

Industrial City lies in south Jeddah with simple industrial structures and large warehouses, surrounded by dusty conditions from industrial activity and construction.

Most units here are practical budget models mounted in windows or wall openings and need frequent cleaning because of industrial dust.

The AC setup in Industrial City

  1. 1

Budget window units in tight openings

Units here are usually simple and practical, mounted in small windows or wall openings to fit workshop and warehouse spaces.

  2. 2

    Coils exposed to industrial heating

Coils accumulate industrial particles and fine dust quickly, reducing cooling efficiency and requiring frequent cleaning.

  3. 3

Electrical wiring and fixtures that may be outdated

Some warehouses and workshops are older and electrical connections may need checking before restarting the unit after repair.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Industrial City

  1. 1

Clear a safe area around the unit

Ensure the window or wall opening with the unit is clear of equipment or materials so the team can work safely.

  2. 2

Halt production or nearby work if needed

If repairs require power cut or unit opening, coordinate with your management on the least productive downtime.

  3. 3

Disconnect power before the team arrives

Cutting power to the unit from the main panel ensures team safety and safe inspection.

FAQ

Questions about Window AC repair

Can a window unit be repaired in the same visit?

Many faults, a clogged filter, a dirty coil, a failed run capacitor and a wrong tilt, are fixed in a single visit. If the unit needs a part the technician does not carry, we arrange a second visit once it is sourced.

How does Jeddah's salty air affect a window unit?

The damp salty air from the sea speeds up corrosion on the metal chassis, fan blades and coil fins. Units on sea-facing walls or higher floors corrode faster. We check how deep the rust goes and tell you honestly whether the unit is worth repairing or whether the chassis has reached the point where replacement saves more.

The unit runs but the compressor will not start. What causes that?

The most common cause is a failed run capacitor that can no longer give the compressor or fan the starting push it needs. The relay is the second likely cause. The technician tests both with instruments and confirms which is at fault before replacing anything.

Why does my window unit drip water into the room?

A window unit drains condensate out of the back, so if it tilts inwards or the drain holes in its base block, the water comes back into the room. We reset the tilt slightly outwards, clean the pan and drain holes, and check the frame is sealed so no water runs down the sides.

Can a faulty thermostat cause the compressor to cycle on and off rapidly?

Yes. A faulty thermostat can send wrong signals that make the compressor cut in and out abnormally, straining the circuit and reducing cooling. The technician tests the thermostat with instruments and separates it from other causes such as the relay or a supply voltage issue before any part is replaced.

My unit loses cooling during work hours, what should I do?

Often the coil is clogged with industrial dust or the capacitor is weak. We inspect quickly and fix it on site if possible to avoid work disruption.

My unit is in a tight wall opening, how can you reach it?

We inspect it from inside and outside and repair on site with portable tools. If a major part needs replacing, we coordinate on the least disruptive time.

Industrial dust keeps clogging the coil, is this normal?

Yes, the industrial environment carries fine particles that accumulate on the coil quickly. We recommend cleaning every month or two to keep cooling steady and extend the unit's life.

The warehouse's electrical supply is very old, does that affect repair?

We inspect the connection and voltage before repair. If power supply is weak, we advise an electrician's review before restarting.
