When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Ajawid is a developed commercial neighbourhood in south Jeddah with large, relatively modern wholesale stores and varied commercial shops on wide, easy-moving streets. The buildings here are newer and more spacious than other south Jeddah districts, and large shops have wide back areas for storage and maintenance. Display fridges in these shops are large and high-power units; heavy use and seasonal heat require strong regular servicing to ensure continuous performance and protect stock from spoilage.

Al Ajawid is located in south Jeddah, a relatively modern commercial district with large wholesale stores and wide streets.

Most stores in Al Ajawid have large display fridges with powerful cooling systems connected to a central engine room or semi-central system.

The AC setup in Al Ajawid

  1. 1

Central cooling system connected to multiple fridges

Most large Al Ajawid stores have a central cooling system in a separate engine room connected to multiple display fridges in the shop.

  2. 2

    Large high-power display fridges

Fridges in wholesale stores are very large, consume high electrical power, and require a powerful cooling system with a large condenser.

  3. 3

Wide back space for the engine room

Al Ajawid stores have wide, accessible back areas for the engine room, connections and maintenance.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

My wholesale store has multiple fridges, can you service the whole system at once?

Yes, we have experience with central and semi-central systems, and can inspect all fridges, condensers, fans and connections in one visit.

The streets here are wide and my store is large, how do you move heavy equipment?

Al Ajawid's streets are wide and parking is easy, so the team can safely move heavy equipment from the vehicle to the store.

My store runs daily with heavy fridge load, how often should servicing happen?

In large Al Ajawid stores with heavy loads, we recommend a full system check monthly and condenser cleaning roughly every two weeks.

Our cooling is central with the engine room far away, does that complicate servicing?

No, we know wholesale central systems well, and Al Ajawid's wide spaces make it easy to access the engine room and connections without complication.
