When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Bahjah is an increasingly mixed residential district with medical clinics, pharmacies and small shopping centres beside apartment blocks. Pharmacies and doctors storing serums and temperature-controlled medications need precise, reliable display fridges, and shopping centres use chillers to display beverages and dairy. Coastal heat and humidity affect temperature stability, and health regulations mean any cooling loss harms stock. Coordination may need shopping centre or clinic management.

Al Bahjah is in north-east Jeddah, a developing residential district with medical clinics, pharmacies and small shopping centres.

Display units here are typically medium-sized in pharmacies and clinics, while smaller chillers appear in shopping centres.

The AC setup in Al Bahjah

  1. 1

Precision display units for pharmacies and clinics

Pharmacies and clinics need display units with highly precise and stable readings to safely store serums and medications.

  2. 2

    Small chillers in shopping centres

Al Bahjah's small shopping centres use compact, less complex chillers for displaying cold beverages and fresh dairy.

  3. 3

    Shared systems in shopping centres

Some shopping centres link multiple chillers to a central system, requiring coordination with centre management.

Before the visit

For pharmacies and clinics, bring any current temperature logs or records so we can review and confirm health compliance.

  2. 2

Coordinate with the shopping centre management

If the fridge is in a shopping centre, tell management about the visit time in advance and confirm access to the outdoor unit on the roof.

  3. 3

Send photos of both indoor and outdoor units

Send WhatsApp photos of the display fridge itself and the outdoor unit so we can assess the condition and flag any special needs before the visit.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

My pharmacy stores serums that need 2 to 8 degrees, how do you verify temperature accuracy?

We use a separate thermometer to check actual temperatures on each shelf and compare them to the digital display. If readings differ, we clean the sensors or recalibrate the unit.

My clinic is on the second floor of the shopping centre, where is the outdoor unit?

The outdoor unit is typically on the shopping centre's roof or in a communal yard. We coordinate with centre management before the visit to locate and access it.

Do pharmacy and clinic fridges need temperature log records?

Yes, government and private pharmacies and clinics must keep daily or periodic records. We provide regular inspection reports documenting that the fridge is safe.

My shopping centre has several chillers, do they affect each other's electrical load?

If several chillers run on the same electrical circuit, brownouts or fluctuations can occur. We recommend checking the electrical distribution and ensuring each unit has its own circuit or a voltage regulator.
