When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Majami' is a tourism and urban development zone in far-north Jeddah, with modern hotels, resorts, retail and services along the coast, in a very humid and salt-laden marine environment. Modern buildings and luxury hotel designs demand reliable, high-performance display chillers, but salt air and persistent humidity accelerate wear on all metal and electronic components. Regular maintenance and frequent coil and condenser cleaning are essential to protect the investment, maintain performance and extend chiller life in this challenging coastal climate.

Al Majami' lies on the far northern coast of Jeddah, a new tourism development zone with hotels, resorts and services along the beach.

Display chillers here are mostly modern, contemporary-design units in luxury hotels and resorts, with powerful outdoor units on roofs or coastal-facing walls.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

The resort is upmarket and the display chillers are part of the brand image; how do you ensure peak performance?

We offer tailored maintenance plans to ensure consistent peak performance. We inspect coils, condenser, air curtains and shelf balance on every visit, with full performance documentation.

The coastal location constantly exposes the chillers to salt and moisture; do they need special treatment?

Yes, salt spray requires monthly inspection of seals and metal parts, and deep cleaning of coils and condenser at least every two months.

How often do you recommend servicing in this coastal climate?

We recommend a comprehensive maintenance plan at least every six weeks, checking for salt corrosion, and complete cleaning of coils and condensers.

The resort operates 24/7; can you visit anytime?

Yes, we can schedule maintenance around your resort's needs, during operating hours or quiet times. Contact us in advance to arrange the best time.
