Display chillers that stay stable

Display fridges & chillers in Al Shama'il

In Al Shama'il, north-east Jeddah, display fridges in shops and cafés face intense heat and rapid dirt buildup that weakens cooling and clouds the glass. Alrabih's team checks the condenser, fans and air curtain to restore the cabinet to full efficiency and protect your stock.

When your display fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Glass fogs or sweats

In Jeddah's humid air and air-conditioned shops, moisture collects on the door glass or thick frost builds up. The cause is usually the door frame heater resistance or the door seal; the site decides which.

  2. 2

    Stock spoiling or uneven temperatures

If upper shelves are warmer than lower ones, or open multideck zones read outside the required range, a fan fault or blocked cold-air path is likely. We measure shelf temperatures along the cabinet and find where the fault lies.

  3. 3

Hot condenser in a poorly cooled shop

A display cabinet throws a lot of heat into the shop floor. When the shop's cooling is insufficient, the condenser air temperature rises, the compressor works harder and the cabinet loses its chill. The fix starts with assessing the cabinet's location and the ventilation around it.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp a photo of the cabinet, your district and a brief description of the problem; the team can prepare the right tools before the visit.

  2. 2

    Site survey and measurement

The technician measures shelf temperatures, inspects the condenser, fans, air curtain and door seals, and reviews the ventilation around the cabinet before touching anything.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and explanation

After measuring we tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done, and you approve the work before the technician starts.

  4. 4

    Repair and verify

We fix the fault, then re-measure shelf temperatures and verify the air curtain, lighting and fans before leaving the shop.

What sets this district apart

Al Shama'il is an active commercial district with small to mid-sized shops and cafés, marked by high heat and variable humidity near the coast. Fridges here run under constant pressure throughout opening hours, and dirt and dust gather quickly on the condenser especially in summer, lowering cooling efficiency and causing temperature gradients across the shelves. Regular maintenance keeps performance steady and extends cabinet life.

Al Shama'il lies in north-east Jeddah, an active commercial district mixing food shops, cafés and small service businesses.

Most Al Shama'il shops use standard-size display fridges, positioned in open fronts or near the shop entrance.

The AC setup in Al Shama'il

  1. 1

    Display fridges with glass shelves

Most Al Shama'il display fridges have glass shelves allowing product visibility from front and sides, which requires even cold-air distribution across all levels.

  2. 2

    Fridges with front air curtain

These fridges typically have a cold air curtain at the front to shield products from hot external air and maintain interior humidity.

  3. 3

Condensers mounted on the side or top

Most fridges here have side or top-mounted condensers, making them easier to clean but requiring adequate space around them.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Shama'il

  1. 1

    Clear obstacles around the fridge

Make sure no bags, boxes or goods are in front of or behind the condenser, as we need easy and safe access to clean it thoroughly.

  2. 2

Tell us your shop's best visiting times

Let us know when the fridge gets lighter use or when the shop is quieter, so we do not interrupt sales.

  3. 3

Confirm if there are any previous faults not yet fixed

Let us know if there were previous issues like weak cooling or air curtain problems, so we focus the inspection on those areas.

FAQ

Questions about Display fridges & chillers

Why does thick frost build up on open multideck shelves?

An open multideck relies on a cold air curtain to keep shop air out. If the fan weakens or nearby AC airflow deflects the curtain, shop humidity enters the cabinet and frost builds. We check fan speed, air curtain direction and temperature at several points along the cabinet to find exactly where the fault is.

Does shop temperature affect how the display fridge performs?

Yes, and in Jeddah this is more noticeable in summer when the heat load rises. The condenser rejects heat into shop air; when that air is warm, the compressor works harder and shelf temperatures rise. We assess the cabinet's position and its distance from AC supply diffusers as part of the survey.

The cabinet lighting is dim or flickering; is that something you handle?

Yes, cabinet lighting is part of the service. Internal lighting matters to how your product looks, and a wiring fault there can affect other circuits. We check the wiring and driver and replace the faulty component as part of the job.

My display fridge is an unfamiliar brand; can you still work on it?

Display cabinet faults are mostly common across brands: refrigeration circuit, fan, air curtain, door seal, frame heater. We diagnose by measurement, not by brand. If a replacement part is needed we tell you before going further and you decide.

Can a new display cabinet be installed in an existing shop?

Yes, but the site decides what is needed. We assess the electrical supply, drain route and cabinet position relative to AC diffusers before installation; where the cabinet sits affects the air curtain and the shop's overall cooling load. The survey sets out exactly what is required before any work begins.

Humidity and heat here are high, do they damage the fridge more?

Yes, high humidity and heat speed up condenser corrosion and increase dirt buildup. Monthly or bimonthly checks prevent breakdowns and keep cooling strong.

My fridge is close to the street with lots of dust, how do you handle that?

We clean the condenser and fans thoroughly to remove dust buildup, and we recommend placing a screen or barrier around the fridge to reduce dust accumulation between visits.

Sometimes the air curtain is weak and my products spoil, what can be done?

A weak air curtain usually stems from blocked air passages or a fan motor issue. A full inspection identifies the problem and restores the curtain to its original performance.

My shop is small with limited power, does the fridge draw a lot of current?

We check your electrical circuit capacity before servicing. If the fridge draws more current than expected, we advise you about running a separate circuit.
