When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Al Ghawla is a recently expanded industrial and commercial zone with large warehouses, commercial workshops and new residential buildings. Large projects here demand massive central AC systems with long ducts covering vast areas. Cutting ducts on site leaves hundreds of weak points where cold air leaks and moisture condenses, wasting energy and raising operating costs. Workshop-made ducts mean Foster-sealed joints on every connection and uniform insulation maintaining cooling efficiency.

Al Ghawla sits in east Jeddah, a sprawling industrial and storage zone with large warehouses and mid-rise buildings.

Warehouses and large projects here use very large-diameter ducts, often requiring long straight metal sections.

The AC setup in Al Ghawla

  1. 1

Large supply ducts for uniform distribution

Warehouses need very large-diameter supply ducts that distribute cool air evenly across the entire space.

  2. 2

    Wide central return ducts

Large projects need wide return ducts collecting warm air from every corner and sending it back to the handler.

  3. 3

    Robust insulated distribution plenum boxes

Factory-made ducts include robust plenum boxes with adequate insulation to prevent heat loss and moisture intrusion.

Before the visit

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Do you make ducts for large warehouses in Al Ghawla?

Yes, we make large ducts for warehouses and industrial projects, with large diameters and long runs, all fully insulated and completely sealed.

Al Ghawla's spaces are huge, can you deliver large duct sections?

Yes, the open spaces and wide roads in Al Ghawla make it straightforward to transport long and large ducts directly from our workshop to the site.

Jeddah's humidity and heavy cooling in warehouses cause severe condensation, how do you prevent it?

We insulate all ducts to adequate thickness and seal every joint with Foster, which blocks moisture condensation on the exterior even during heavy cooling.

Electrical loads are heavy for warehouse projects, do they affect duct specifications?

Electrical loads determine fan power, but duct design itself is based on the required airflow volume and warehouse area.
