When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Ajwad is a relatively emerging district with a mix of mid-size villas, modern residential blocks and mixed-use commercial-residential projects. This diversity means AC needs vary widely, from simple ducts for a single villa to complex systems for multi-storey buildings. On-site random duct cutting causes leaks and uneven cooling between units. Pre-manufacturing ducts with exact dimensions and tight sealing ensures consistent performance and high efficiency regardless of project size.

Al Ajwad lies in eastern Jeddah and is characterised by a diverse mix of villas, residential blocks and modern mixed-use projects.

Projects in Al Ajwad use a mix of split units, package units and central chillers depending on building size, requiring ducts with varying designs.

The AC setup in Al Ajwad

  1. 1

    Variable-size ducts by building type

The mix of villas and blocks in Al Ajwad requires ducts of varying sizes, from simple branches for a villa to complex systems for a building.

  2. 2

Custom plenums for each building type

Villas and blocks need different plenums, and we build them custom for each unit based on room count and space layout.

  3. 3

    Strong insulation against intense heat

Eastern Jeddah's intense heat requires heavy insulation to prevent cold loss and maintain efficiency across all systems.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ajwad

  1. 1

Send the engineering plan for each unit or building

Before the visit, send the final engineering plan for each unit showing spaces, passages and exact dimensions to speed up measurement and manufacturing.

  2. 2

Ensure access to duct route locations

Open all spaces, attics and passages where ducts will run on all buildings, ensuring our team can measure and install safely.

  3. 3

Confirm main unit locations on each building

Tell us main unit locations on each villa or block, as this determines main duct lengths and branches for each unit.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Our project has villas and blocks together, can you manufacture different ducts for each?

Yes, we manufacture custom ducts for each building or unit based on its individual needs. We measure each unit separately and build ducts sized precisely to fit its design.

Our site is tight and projects are close together, how do you deliver equipment and ducts?

We coordinate delivery schedules with you beforehand, choosing times that don't clash with other project work. Ducts are clearly numbered for easy installation and coordination.

Heat here is very high, is insulation enough to prevent cold loss?

Yes, we insulate all ducts with high-quality materials suitable for intense heat. Full insulation reduces cold loss over long runs and maintains system efficiency.

Our site is under construction, do you wait until completion before manufacturing ducts?

No, we measure from the engineering plan and final designs before construction. But a site visit a few weeks before manufacturing confirms spaces and passages match the plan.
