Precision-made ductwork

AC duct manufacturing in Al Kawthar

In Al Kawthar, east Jeddah, modern residential blocks and villas rely on central AC systems with insulated metal ducts; site-cut ducts leak and suffer from eastern heat. Alrabih manufactures ducts and plenums in-workshop to precise dimensions, seals and fully insulates them with thick insulation against heat.

When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Kawthar is a growing modern district in the east with contemporary residential blocks and spacious villas with regular, generous urban spacing. Eastern heat is severe, affecting roofs and outdoor ducts directly, requiring AC systems with exceptionally sealed and insulated ducts to cut cold-air loss. Workshop-made, Foster-sealed and thickly insulated air ducts maintain pressure and efficiency even in the harshest heat conditions.

Al Kawthar, in east Jeddah, is a growing modern district of contemporary residential blocks and spacious villas with generous urban spacing.

Most buildings here use central AC with insulated metal ducts, many needing very long runs and multiple sections owing to the generous space.

The AC setup in Al Kawthar

  1. 1

Very long ducts in short numbered sections for very open spaces

Al Kawthar's very open spaces need very long ducts, split into short numbered sections for easier transport and installation.

  2. 2

Ultra-thick insulation against intense eastern heat

Al Kawthar's very intense eastern heat demands ultra-thick insulation and robust exterior wrap completely protecting against heat absorption.

  3. 3

Strong and multiple plenums ensuring pressure and balance

Very long ducts need strong and multiple plenums to ensure even air pressure and distribution across all spaces.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Kawthar

  1. 1

Provide complete and detailed engineering drawings

Send complete engineering drawings with all duct and plenum routes and exact central unit location before the visit.

  2. 2

Ensure adequate space for long numbered sections

Check that roofs, inter-floor spaces and passages are adequate to safely transport the long numbered sections.

  3. 3

Define loading and delivery method for long sections

Tell us how to bring the long sections to site, the safe loading point, and whether you need a crane or special equipment.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Does intense Al Kawthar heat affect manufactured duct efficiency quickly?

Fully sealed and insulated ducts maintain efficiency even in intense heat. Thick insulation greatly reduces external heat absorption, and Foster sealant on all gaps prevents cold-air leaks.

Do very long ducts work well in Al Kawthar?

Yes, Al Kawthar's generous spaces need long ducts. We manufacture them in short numbered sections for easy transport and installation, with strong plenums ensuring pressure and balance.

How does coastal duct insulation differ from eastern insulation?

Coastal insulation primarily protects against humidity. Al Kawthar and eastern areas need thicker insulation protecting foremost from intense heat and external heat absorption.

How many numbered sections does a large residential tower in Al Kawthar need?

It depends on building height, unit count and spaces. We take full project measurements and design sections and plenums to balance pressure and ensure even distribution across all floors.
