When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.
Ask on WhatsAppRunning a commercial fit-out that needs duct runs
We take your project drawings and produce numbered sections in batches matched to your site schedule, so the hanging crew is never waiting on supply.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.
Workshop-made or site-cut duct?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Sealing | Foster on every seam in workshop | Uneven site sealing |
| Insulation | Kimmco or Armaflex fully wrapped | Partial or delayed wrap |
| Sheet gauge | Chosen for each duct size | One gauge for everything |
| Assembly time | Numbered, assembled straight away | Cut and adjust on site |
| Joint fit | Workshop dimensions close every joint | Hand trimming breaks the seal |

What sets this district apart
Al Safa is a dense, mixed commercial and residential zone with flats, shops and offices, where older and newer buildings sit close together. Central AC delivers better efficiency across large divided spaces, but ducts cut on-site through tight floors and gaps lose cold air quickly. Our workshop-made ducts arrive numbered and ready for quick installation in tight spaces, with complete sealing against air and moisture loss.
Al Safa is in central Jeddah, a high-density urban zone mixing old and new residential and commercial buildings.
Most projects here run ducts through tight inter-storey voids or walls shared by multiple tenants.
The AC setup in Al Safa
- 1
Flat ducts in tight voids
In crowded multi-tenant buildings, we use flat rectangular ducts to pass through the tight voids between floors.
- 2
Ducts divided into multiple zones
Mixed-use projects need duct zones split by unit, with calculated outlets for each area.
- 3
Tight sealing and insulation to prevent loss
Sealed seams and full insulation are critical here because air loss affects efficiency across divided, tight spaces.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Safa
- 1
Bring a plan of all units and zones
Tell us how many units or zones need individual cooling, as this determines the number of duct zones and sections.
- 2
Coordinate with the building manager or engineer
Coordinate with the building manager or engineer before the visit to identify where main units can go and which inter-storey gaps are available.
- 3
Measure inter-storey gaps in advance
If you can measure the height and width of inter-storey voids before we visit, that speeds up our estimate.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
Al Safa's buildings are older and mixed-use, is central AC feasible in them?
Yes, central AC can work in older buildings if there is enough inter-storey space or passage along columns. We visit first to measure available gaps and determine the best duct route.
The gaps between our floors are very tight, how do you fit the ducts in?
We use flat or rectangular ducts instead of square, sizing them with your engineer to fit the available height before we make them in the workshop.
Humidity is very high here, does insulation stop condensation on the ducts?
Full insulation reduces the temperature gap between the cold air inside and warm air outside, greatly reducing condensation. Sealed seams prevent moisture seeping into the ducts.
There are many tenants in the building, can you divide the central AC system between them?
Ducts and outlets can be split by rental units or use zones, but this needs coordination with the building manager and engineer to fix the number of zones before we fabricate.
