When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.
Workshop-made or site-cut duct?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |

| Sealing | Foster on every seam in workshop | Uneven site sealing |
| Insulation | Kimmco or Armaflex fully wrapped | Partial or delayed wrap |
| Sheet gauge | Chosen for each duct size | One gauge for everything |
| Assembly time | Numbered, assembled straight away | Cut and adjust on site |
| Joint fit | Workshop dimensions close every joint | Hand trimming breaks the seal |

What sets this district apart
Al Shama'il is an upscale residential district with luxury villas and tall apartment blocks featuring large internal spaces that need powerful central systems. The ducts required here are typically long and need reliable insulation to prevent cold-air loss over distances and multiple floors. Site cutting weakens performance and efficiency, whilst workshop manufacture ensures hermetic sealing at every joint and consistent insulation that maintains stable temperatures throughout all rooms.
Al Shama'il lies in the northeast, a district of modern villas and large residential blocks with advanced urban design.
Duct systems here typically collect multiple branches from one or more storeys into a central plenum before distribution begins.
The AC setup in Al Shama'il
- 1
Overhead ducts for large apartment blocks
Tall blocks in Al Shama'il need long overhead ducts running through corridor ceilings across multiple storeys with complete insulation.
- 2
Insulated branches to individual rooms
From the main plenum, insulated branches run to each room or space, each sealed individually to prevent leakage.
- 3
Central return ductwork
Return ducts collect air from all rooms back to the unit and need the same insulation and sealing as supply ducts.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Shama'il
- 1
Send complete architectural and technical drawings
Send us floor plans, ceiling heights, space dimensions and unit locations before the visit to ensure measurement accuracy.
- 2
Confirm the planned duct route from your engineer
Ensure your engineer has approved the duct and plenum route before we start manufacturing to avoid any structural conflicts.
- 3
Arrange safe storage for the numbered sections
Ducts arrive numbered and installation-ready, so arrange dry, dust-free storage space on site before the team arrives.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
What are the benefits of a pre-made plenum?
A pre-made plenum ensures even air distribution across all branches with no weak seal points, which improves thermal balance throughout the building.
Can you make ducts for complex architectural shapes?
Yes, we manufacture custom ducts in various shapes, including sharp angles and curved sections to match your architectural design.
Al Shama'il has high coastal humidity, is the insulation enough to stop condensation?
Full insulation on all duct surfaces stops exterior condensation even in high humidity, and tight sealing maintains indoor air quality.
How long does manufacturing take before delivery and installation?
The timeframe depends on project size and the number of ducts and sections needed, and we give you a clear schedule once the quote is agreed.
