When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Zahra buildings are modern, spacious and spread across large plots with extensive gardens, with central AC needing ducts running horizontally across multiple wings and distant rooms, but on-site hand-cut ducts leak due to long runs and many bends. Workshop-manufactured ducts with precise angles and full insulation ensure even cold air distribution to all distant rooms.

Al Zahra lies in west Jeddah, a district of spacious modern villas spread across large plots with extensive gardens and regular streets.

Most Al Zahra projects need long horizontal duct runs from the central unit to multiple wings up to 15, 20 metres apart.

The AC setup in Al Zahra

  1. 1

Long horizontal ducts with uniform diameters

We manufacture main ducts with consistent diameter for long horizontal runs from the central unit to distant villa wings.

  2. 2

    Custom-made bends and angles

Every bend and angle is precisely calculated to reduce air resistance and maintain even airflow through the run.

  3. 3

Thick insulation to minimise cold loss

Manufactured ducts are fully insulated to minimise cold loss across long runs in the hot coastal environment.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Zahra

  1. 1

Get precise villa plans with duct run dimensions

Send us a complete floor plan showing the main unit, all outlets and wing-to-wing spaces with exact measurements.

  2. 2

Ensure access to ceilings and inter-floor voids

Check that suspended ceilings and inter-floor voids in different wings can be safely accessed to install the long duct runs.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the building crew on the duct path

If electrical wires or water pipes cross the long horizontal duct path, let us know to avoid conflicts and installation delays.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Long horizontal distances between wings leak cold air, how do you prevent it?

We manufacture ducts to exact lengths per run according to your layout, seal all seams with Foster sealant and fully insulate to reduce cold loss across distance.

Bent ducts and sharp angles reduce airflow, do you custom-make the bends?

Yes, we calculate bend angles from your layout and manufacture them with smooth gradients to reduce air resistance and maintain flow.

West coast humidity may condense in long ducts, how do you protect them?

Full insulation with tight sealing prevents humidity condensing on duct interiors, especially in passages and shaded areas of the building.

Spacious villas may need many air outlets, can long ducts handle this load?

We manufacture ducts with diameters calculated for outlet count and required capacity, ensuring sufficient airflow to all rooms without performance drop.
