Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Ajwad is a commercially active district mixing shops, hotels, restaurants and offices with flats above or beside them, buildings varied in size and design. Central AC systems in shops, hotels and restaurants need complex branched and distributed ductwork, especially for wide open spaces, kitchens and tight corridors. Measuring the site precisely and fabricating in the workshop ensures compatibility with diverse designs and quick installation.

Al Ajwad lies in east Jeddah and holds shops, hotels, offices and residential flats with diverse designs.

Central AC systems here vary because buildings differ: shops with open spaces, hotels with long corridors, restaurants with separate kitchens.

The AC setup in Al Ajwad

  1. 1

Varied duct to match building type

Shops need larger-diameter duct, hotels need long low-profile branches, restaurants need separate kitchen branches.

  2. 2

    Dividers and damper valves

Duct includes damper valves to isolate different zones (like corridors from common areas) and reduce noise.

  3. 3

    Quick-fit connections for installation

Duct arrives with standard quick-fit connections, reducing installation time and business disruption.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ajwad

  1. 1

Obtain all types of site drawings

Send us architectural, electrical and plumbing drawings to avoid clashes with existing services.

  2. 2

Coordinate with owners and tenants in mixed buildings

If the building mixes shops and flats, agree with all parties on measurement and installation timing to avoid clashing with daily activities.

  3. 3

    Define access and storage points

Confirm our team can easily access the plant room and ceilings, and there is storage space for duct before installation.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Shops here are wide with open spaces, how do you fabricate duct to cover them?

We measure the full space and fabricate a main duct with larger diameter and distributed branches covering the area evenly, with air outlets sized to match the shop layout.

Restaurants need separate kitchens, does duct isolate cooking smells?

We fabricate separate kitchen branches with a damper or isolation valve, and coordinate with the kitchen's exhaust system to prevent smell spread.

Hotel corridors are tight, does duct fit the limited headroom?

We fabricate flat or low-profile rectangular duct to fit tight corridors without compromising airflow.

Different buildings need different drawings, how long is production time?

After agreeing specs and drawings, fabrication starts immediately and delivery is usually within 7 to 10 days depending on complexity.
