Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Durrah is a rapidly growing development area with a mix of contemporary villas and multi-storey residential buildings with modern designs. Each building needs a complex duct network running through multiple floors and different wings. Workshop fabrication provides precision and speed because it allows correct horizontal and vertical assembly and immediate site installation without delays.
Al Durrah is in north Jeddah, a modern growth area with contemporary villas and multi-storey residential buildings.
Most buildings here need a main vertical duct run through multiple floors, with separate horizontal branches for each floor or wing.
The AC setup in Al Durrah
- 1
Long vertical duct with separate horizontal branches
Multi-storey buildings need a main duct running vertically from roof to ground floor, with separate branches for each floor.
- 2
Strong joints with intermediate supports
The long vertical run requires strong joints and metal intermediate supports to ensure stability and prevent sagging.
- 3
Duct protected from high-altitude weather
Roofs and upper floors face more heat and dust, so we select material and extra insulation to protect the duct.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Durrah
- 1
Obtain complete architectural drawings for each floor
Send exact drawings for each floor showing the main duct run, branches and outlets before fabrication starts.
- 2
Specify central unit location and distribution points
Mark on the drawings the central unit location on the roof or ground floor and every distribution point on each floor.
- 3
Coordinate with the project on duct delivery and installation
Confirm the site is ready to receive the fabricated duct and schedule installation before delivery, and arrange a hoist for upper floors.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
Multi-storey buildings here need tall vertical duct, how do you handle that?
We fabricate the vertical duct in proportionate sections with strong joints and intermediate supports to ensure stability across multiple floors.
Each floor needs different distribution, do you fabricate separate horizontal branches?
Yes, we fabricate separate horizontal branches for each floor to the plan, with calibrated joints that ease rapid assembly.
Can you handle mixed villa and apartment designs in one building?
Yes, many Al Durrah projects combine villas and apartments, so we fabricate separate duct for each section to its own requirements.
Humidity and heat at high levels, does this affect the duct?
We use high-grade G90 galvanised material with thermal and moisture insulation to protect upper duct from harsh weather changes.
