Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Fanar is a modern growth area with expansive residential projects and contemporary villas with advanced architecture, and the large spaces between buildings and villas mean duct networks are longer and more complex than older districts. Workshop fabrication ensures each piece arrives with correct dimensions and angles, saves time on site and reduces errors from manual cutting.
Al Fanar sits in Jeddah's far north, a modern growth area with expansive residential projects and contemporary villas spaced far apart.
Most modern projects in Al Fanar need very long duct networks because of the large distances between indoor and outdoor units.
The AC setup in Al Fanar
- 1
Long unified ductwork for expansive projects
Expansive residential projects in Al Fanar need very long duct networks connecting numerous indoor units to unified outdoor units.
- 2
Multi-branch duct for spaced villas
Villas in Al Fanar are spaced apart and may need duct with long branches and complex transitions to deliver cooling to each part.
- 3
Thermally insulated duct for sun-exposed sections
Parts of the duct may be exposed to direct sun due to long runs and modern designs, so they may need additional thermal insulation.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Fanar
- 1
Obtain precise measurements from the entire site
Long distances in Al Fanar need very precise measurements from every connection point. Use a laser meter or photos to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- 2
Prepare complete architectural drawings of ceilings and walls
Make sure you have comprehensive architectural drawings showing duct routes, ceilings, walls and any obstacles in the project.
- 3
Identify access and storage points for long duct
Designate storage for long duct and identify safe access routes from project gates to the installation site without obstacles.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
Al Fanar's distances are large, does this affect duct cost and complexity?
Long distances mean the duct will be longer and may need more branches and transitions. We need precise site measurements to determine length and fittings before fabrication starts.
Do you fabricate duct for luxury villas with custom architectural designs?
Yes, we take custom engineering drawings and architectural designs and fabricate duct that fits the villa's bespoke ceilings and walls.
Large distances between villas mean some duct may be exposed to heat and sun, does this affect it?
Yes, sun-exposed duct may need thermal insulation or protective coating. We use galvanized or aluminium sheet and can add thermal insulation depending on the duct's location and sun exposure.
How long does it take your workshop to fabricate very long duct for one Al Fanar project?
It depends on total duct length and the number of fittings and bends. We request drawings and measurements beforehand to estimate production time and ensure the duct is ready for installation.
