Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Marj is a major commercial expansion zone with malls, shopping centres, hotels and large residential projects across vast areas. These projects demand highly complex ductwork connecting dozens of shops and zones, with efficient air distribution needed to cover the extensive spaces. Workshop fabrication is essential to ensure precision in complex bends, multiple takeoffs and balanced pressure across the entire network.
Al Marj lies in north-east Jeddah, a major commercial expansion zone with large malls, shopping centres and hotels.
Projects here need mixed ductwork systems in rectangular and round, spanning thousands of metres of planned runs.
The AC setup in Al Marj
- 1
Large centralized multi-level duct network
Large malls and centres here need extensive ductwork distributed across multiple floors and horizontal runs.
- 2
Precise takeoffs feeding individual shops and zones
Each shop and zone needs a dedicated branch with calculated volume, requiring dozens of precisely sized takeoffs.
- 3
Smooth transitions from rectangular to round where needed
In tight spaces and corridors, we transition from rectangular to round duct with calculated adapters.
Before the visit

Obtain complete architectural and mechanical plans
Ensure detailed architectural and mechanical plans showing duct routes, each branch location and distribution point.
- 2
Identify main air distribution points
Confirm locations of outdoor units, central stations and main duct entry and exit points.
- 3
Arrange temporary workshop space on site if possible
For very large projects, a space on site to assemble and adjust some duct sections may be needed.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
Do you fabricate both round and rectangular duct in the same project?
Yes, we mix round and rectangular duct per section and location, with precisely calculated transitions between them.
Malls and shopping centres need duct serving dozens of shops, how do you manage this complexity?
We work from a detailed plan specifying each shop and branch, fabricating duct in a logical sequence that eases installation and future maintenance.
Spaces are vast and ductwork needs strong, balanced air pressure, do you calculate this in fabrication?
Yes, we calculate pressure drops and air volume needed per branch, designing diameters and bends to ensure pressure balance across the network.
The mall environment is hot with brightly lit shops, does this affect the metal choice?
The controlled indoor environment shields the duct from extreme heat and UV, but we recommend galvanized sheet for long-term durability.
