Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

What sets this district apart

Al Rayyan is a large commercial and residential district with major property projects, administrative offices and hotels, most designed for multi-unit and multi-zone central AC systems. These need complex metal duct networks running through multiple floors and branching to varied rooms, and on-site cutting cannot deliver the precision and sealing required. Workshop fabrication from accurate engineering drawings provides perfect fit and keeps the project on schedule.

Al Rayyan, in east Jeddah, is home to large property developments, office towers and modern hotels.

Most central systems in Al Rayyan use rectangular metal duct with multiple branches and offsets connecting the building's floors.

The AC setup in Al Rayyan

  1. 1

    Multi-storey rectangular duct network

Large Al Rayyan projects use a central rectangular network distributing air from the plant room through multiple floors to each wing.

  2. 2

    Round duct for branch lines

Branches from the main network to rooms are often round duct, easier to install and insulate.

  3. 3

    Flexible connectors for final runs

Connections from fixed duct to air outlets often use flexible metal connectors to avoid vibration and noise.

Before the visit

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Large Al Rayyan projects need speed; how do you expedite duct fabrication?

We take drawings early and start fabrication in the workshop alongside construction phases, so duct is ready to install by the handover date.

Duct has to navigate beams and obstacles; do you make custom pieces?

Yes, we fabricate all custom offsets, transitions and branches based on drawings or precise site measurements.

Does coastal humidity in east Jeddah rust metal duct quickly?

We use high-grade G90 galvanising or aluminium, both designed for humid coastal climates. Proper fabrication and installation extend duct life.

Does your fabricated duct match capacity and airflow specs for large systems?

Yes, we fabricate duct to the full engineering specifications and dimensions from the engineer to ensure required capacity and airflow.
