Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Al Rughamah is an industrial and commercial district with large warehouses, factories and medical facilities, most needing strong central ventilation systems to move heavy air loads across wide spaces. These warehouses and factories require substantial metal duct of relatively large dimensions, and on-site cutting cannot meet the specifications and strength needed. Workshop fabrication from drawings or precise measurements ensures duct strength and perfect fit, and keeps installation on schedule.

Al Rughamah, in east Jeddah, is known for large warehouses, factories and medical facilities.

Most ventilation systems here use large rectangular metal duct that withstands high air pressure from industrial air-handling units.

The AC setup in Al Rughamah (Abraq Al Rughamah)

  1. 1

    Large rectangular metal duct

Warehouses and factories in Al Rughamah use large rectangular duct to move heavy air loads from the handler to wide areas.

  2. 2

Round duct for branch lines and quick solutions

Branches from the main network and secondary runs are often round duct, lighter and quicker to install.

  3. 3

    Central return air ductwork

Return air from the warehouse needs a separate central network collecting air from multiple zones back to the handler.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rughamah (Abraq Al Rughamah)

  1. 1

    Obtain complete drawings or plans

Send us the complete mechanical drawings from the engineer or contractor before we start fabrication.

  2. 2

Confirm main duct routes and branches

Tell us where the main and branch duct will run, and what obstacles (pipes, columns, equipment) need to be avoided.

  3. 3

Arrange site measurement if drawings are incomplete

If we need to verify measurements in the warehouse or factory, schedule a safe time for our team to visit and take precise readings.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Large warehouses need duct strong enough for high air pressure; how do you make it?

We fabricate duct with thicker metal gauges and reinforced joints, and test each piece for pressure and leakage before dispatch to ensure it handles heavy loads.

Our factory has many pipes and obstructions; does your duct fit complex routing?

Yes, we fabricate all custom offsets and transitions from drawings or precise site measurements to navigate around pipes and structures.

Does humidity and dust in Al Rughamah affect metal duct quality?

We use high-grade G90 galvanised steel or stainless aluminium, both designed to withstand humid, dusty industrial environments.

The duct needs internal insulation to reduce warehouse noise; do you supply it?

Yes, we supply duct with internal acoustic insulation (fibreglass) or external wrap depending on the project's needs and available space.
