Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Shurooq is a commercial and mixed-use area with small shopping centres, shops, offices and restaurants, each needing its own AC system. Spaces are tight and ceilings varied, and prefabricating duct offers measurement precision and quick installation without disrupting business or bothering customers, while tight-fitting duct ensures even air distribution in small shops.

Al Shurooq is in east Jeddah, a commercial and mixed-use area with small shopping centres, shops and restaurants.

Most commercial spaces here are small to medium, using lightweight rectangular or round duct to save space and weight.

The AC setup in Al Shurooq

  1. 1

Lightweight rectangular duct for shops and offices

Small shops and offices use lightweight rectangular duct fitting tight ceilings and narrow voids between columns and walls.

  2. 2

Round duct in restaurants and cafes

Restaurants prefer round duct because it is easier to hide odours and smoke and lighter on lightweight building frames.

  3. 3

    Flexible transitions between sections

Varied ceilings and abrupt spatial changes need flexible transitions prefabricated to ensure quick, reliable assembly.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Shurooq

  1. 1

    Measure ceilings and voids beforehand

Ask the shop or restaurant owner to measure ceiling height and available voids so our team can fabricate precisely before the visit.

  2. 2

    Clear the space of obstacles

Before installation, ensure the space below the ceiling is clear of furniture and fixtures so the team can fit duct safely and quickly.

  3. 3

Close temporarily or schedule off-peak hours

Agree with the owner on installation time during closed hours or quiet periods to minimise noise and disruption to customers.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

How do you fit ductwork into tight commercial spaces?

We measure each space precisely and design lightweight rectangular or round duct that fits the tight voids and varied ceilings in shops or restaurants.

Could duct installation disrupt business operations?

We fabricate duct completely in the workshop so it arrives on-site ready to hang, speeding up installation and finishing with minimal downtime for the shop or restaurant.

Can lightweight duct handle heat and humidity in Al Shurooq?

We use strong galvanized or aluminium sheet even in lightweight duct, so it withstands eastern heat and humidity without rapid corrosion.

If a building holds multiple shops and restaurants, can they share ductwork?

Each shop or restaurant needs separate ductwork to prevent odour and noise transfer, but we design nearby runs to save space and cost where possible.
