Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Shifa is a fast-growing area with spacious villas and modern mid-size residential blocks with varied interior layouts. Many new projects choose central AC over split systems for energy savings and comfort, requiring precisely distributed duct networks across multiple floors and rooms. Workshop-fabricated duct arrives at the correct full dimensions, reducing on-site modifications and maintaining system efficiency.
Al Shifa is in south Jeddah, a modern area of villas and residential blocks investing in efficient central AC systems.
Most residential projects here use one or two central AC units feeding multiple floors through unified ductwork.
The AC setup in Al Shifa
- 1
Distributed duct networks for multi-floor villas
Modern villas in Al Shifa need duct networks spread across three or four floors, precisely fabricated to ensure balanced air distribution.
- 2
Rectangular duct for corridors and open areas
Long corridors and open areas in modern villas need flat rectangular duct that achieves efficient distribution at low pressure.
- 3
Round duct for branches and individual rooms
Duct branches feeding rooms, bathrooms and kitchens are made from round duct to reduce noise and improve performance.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
How long does duct fabrication take from measurement to delivery?
We measure the site and drawings, then fabricate the duct in the workshop in a few days depending on project size, arriving ready to install.
The villa has floors and ceilings at different heights, how do you get the duct in?
We calculate heights and curves from drawings and site, then fabricate duct with offsets and bends matching the building structure exactly.
Does prefabricated duct reduce noise compared to on-site cutting?
Yes, prefabricated duct has sealed joints with no gaps or rough edges, so it reduces air leakage and noise noticeably.
The building has old wiring, does running duct require electrical modifications?
The duct itself needs no direct electrical modification, but we coordinate with electricians to avoid any conflict with existing wiring and pipes.
