Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Tadamun has modern mid-rise residential blocks with ongoing new projects, where contemporary designs rely on efficient central AC systems. The newer buildings here have uniform ceiling heights and regular hallway layouts, which makes measuring and pre-fabrication straightforward. Workshop-made duct arrives on site ready to hang without lengthy on-site measurement work.
Al Tadamun lies in south Jeddah, a newer residential district with uniform building designs and regular ceiling heights.
Most projects here use standard suspended ceilings at uniform height, making rectangular duct fabrication more efficient and faster.
The AC setup in Al Tadamun
- 1
Standard rectangular duct for uniform ceilings
Modern buildings here have uniform suspended ceilings, so standard rectangular duct suits all projects without excess customisation.
- 2
Separate branches for multiple cooling units
Larger residential projects here need multiple cooling units, so we fabricate separate branches for each with balanced airflow.
- 3
High-efficiency galvanized steel duct
Modern projects need tight-cut duct with no air loss, and high-grade galvanized steel provides this at reasonable cost.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Tadamun
- 1
Provide complete engineering drawings for the project
Send us detailed drawings of ceiling heights, hallway layouts and dimensions so we fabricate with full precision in the workshop.
- 2
Set the timeline for duct delivery
Tell us when your ceilings and hallways will be ready for duct installation so we deliver at the right moment with no delay.
- 3
Confirm truck access to the storage location
Identify an unloading point near the installation area so we avoid carrying duct sections over long site distances.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
Does your fabricated duct meet thermal efficiency standards?
We fabricate duct with tight joints and no gaps, ensuring no cold air loss during distribution across the network.
Our project is new and on schedule, when can you deliver the duct?
We take measurements and drawings and fabricate quickly; delivery matches the schedule you set for the project.
We have multiple cooling units, how do you split the duct between them?
We fabricate separate duct branches for each unit with shared or individual outlets as the engineering design specifies.
Our foundations and walls are modern standard, does that affect the installation?
Modern buildings with standard foundations make mechanical hanging easier and faster, with the duct supported by fewer brackets.
