Dedicated duct workshop

Duct fabrication in Al Tha'alibah

Duct fabrication in Al Tha'alibah, south Jeddah, demands precision because the modern residential and hotel buildings need complex air runs. We fabricate rectangular and round duct in our workshop from galvanized or aluminium sheet to site dimensions or drawings, so it arrives ready to hang with no air loss.

Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

Don't see your district?Message us. We most likely cover it.

What sets this district apart

Al Tha'alibah is a relatively modern district with tall residential towers, hotels and widely spaced office blocks on open land, so central AC projects here need long, complex duct runs between floors and suites, and each bend and junction must be made to precision. On-site cutting does not hold proper dimensions and causes air leaks at joints, so we fabricate it in the workshop to the plan and ensure a tight fit and performance.

Al Tha'alibah lies in south Jeddah, a district of modern residential, hotel and commercial buildings set on relatively open land.

Most residential and hotel towers here use central AC systems with rectangular or round duct routed through the floors.

The AC setup in Al Tha'alibah

  1. 1

    Rectangular duct for residential towers

Residential towers in Al Tha'alibah use wide rectangular duct to distribute air across suites and corridors with high efficiency.

  2. 2

Round duct for hotels and offices

Hotels and commercial buildings here use round duct because it allows complex horizontal and vertical turns through the floors.

  3. 3

    Complex transitions and elbows

Large projects here need custom transition pieces and non-standard elbows between equipment and variable spaces, which we fabricate precisely in the workshop.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Tha'alibah

  1. 1

    Obtain the full architectural drawing

Before the visit, send us the precise architectural drawing of the tower or hotel so we can measure the duct accurately and fabricate it without error.

  2. 2

Confirm location of main AC units

Confirm where the main AC equipment sits, whether in a plant room or on the roof, since the start and end points of the duct runs determine all dimensions.

  3. 3

    Agree schedule with the contractor

Agree with the contractor and team on the visit and measurement date, so we can prepare the duct in line with the construction schedule.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Why not cut the duct on site directly?

On-site cutting cannot hold precise dimensions and cannot produce complex elbows and offsets properly. In the workshop we fabricate it to the plan, so it arrives ready to hang with no air loss at the joints.

Our project spans multiple floors, how do you get the duct in?

We measure the duct to site drawings or architectural plans, and fabricate it in ready-made sections that fit the building passages and floor gaps, so it enters easily and assembles to exact fit.

Hotels and towers here need high-precision AC, how do you ensure that?

We use G90 galvanized or aluminium sheet and produce duct with precise elbows, offsets and takeoffs to the drawing, which keeps the airflow even and airtight when assembled.

How long does duct fabrication take?

The time depends on the project size, number of sections and complexity of the runs. We agree the schedule with the contractor after reviewing the plan and site.
