Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Wisami is a modern residential area with spacious villas and mid-rise apartment blocks spread across open plots and wide streets. Projects here often require long central duct runs from the outdoor unit through suspended ceilings or inter-floor voids. Pre-fabricating in the workshop cuts on-site installation time and ensures precise dimensions and airtight connections without waste.

Al Wisami sits in north-east Jeddah, a residential area of modern villas and apartment blocks with generous spacing between buildings.

Most projects in Al Wisami use rectangular fabricated galvanised duct, requiring multiple transitions and bends to avoid structural obstacles.

The AC setup in Al Wisami

  1. 1

    Fabricated rectangular galvanised duct

Most central AC projects in Al Wisami's villas and blocks use rectangular duct for easy hanging between suspended ceilings and concrete beams.

  2. 2

    Precision-fabricated transitions and bends

Complex structural voids between floors require pre-fabricated transitions and offsets, arriving ready for immediate hanging.

  3. 3

Airtight joints with no air loss

Workshop-fabricated duct joins precisely and seals with high-grade sealant, preventing distribution leakage.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Wisami

  1. 1

Obtain duct drawings from the engineer

Before our site visit, ensure the engineer or contractor has provided duct route and dimension drawings to speed up fabrication.

  2. 2

Confirm hanging points and access routes

Tell us the duct route from the outdoor unit to outlets and where the contractor has designated hanging points.

  3. 3

Ensure space to unload and stage the duct

Fabricated duct arrives in multiple sections, so confirm there is safe storage space on site for staging before hanging.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Can you fabricate duct to our exact specifications?

Yes, we take measurements from site or the engineer's drawings and fabricate the duct in the workshop to precise dimensions, avoiding cut-and-fit on site.

Al Wisami villas have complex structural voids, how do you route the duct?

We fabricate custom transitions, bends and offsets matched to the building's layout, so the duct arrives fitting the actual run without site cutting.

Does the hot, dry climate in Al Wisami affect the metal duct?

We use G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet resistant to heat and thermal expansion, both withstanding Jeddah's high heat without cracking.

Duct fabrication and support need solid electrical and structural systems, does Al Wisami have these?

Yes, Al Wisami is modern with strong electrical and structural systems; we only need the contractor to confirm hanging points and runs.
