Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Harat Al Bahar has older residential buildings with ground-floor shops, where interior spaces are tight and hallways constrained, making new ductwork a complex fit. Pre-fabricated duct cut to exact dimensions works around these tight spaces and hangs with minimal wall damage or disruption to residents and shops. Measuring each older building first is essential because no two have the same layout.
Harat Al Bahar sits in Jeddah's historic downtown near the waterfront, an old district of closely built residential and commercial blocks with narrow passages.
These older buildings were not originally designed for central ductwork, so most installations need tight bends and multiple transitions to fit within existing passages.
The AC setup in Harat Al Bahar
- 1
Narrow duct for passages in older buildings
Passages and ceilings in older buildings are constricted, so we fabricate narrow-profile duct that fits without major wall modifications.
- 2
Tight bends and multiple offsets
Routes between passages and units in old buildings are irregular, so we fabricate sharp bends and custom offsets to follow the actual path.
- 3
Aluminium resistant to salt and moisture
Harat Al Bahar's waterfront location means aluminium offers better long-term corrosion resistance than galvanized steel.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Harat Al Bahar
- 1
Clear photos of existing passages and ceilings
Send clear photos of the existing passages and ceilings so we understand the dimensions and bends before the team visits.
- 2
Arrange with the building owner on entry point and timing
Make sure the building owner knows the visit time, and identify the safest entry point for the team to carry duct sections inside.
- 3
Confirm roof and outdoor unit access
Check that the roof or balcony for the outdoor unit is safely accessible both inside the building and from outside.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
My building is very old, will pre-made duct fit it?
We measure each old building's passages and spaces precisely, and fabricate duct to those exact dimensions, not standard sizes.
Our street is extremely narrow, how do you deliver the duct?
We carry the duct sections by hand from the vehicle to site, and coordinate with the building owner on the best entry point beforehand.
We have high humidity and salt air here, which duct material lasts longer?
We recommend aluminium for buildings near the waterfront because it resists salt and moisture better than galvanized steel.
The old wiring in the building is weak, does that affect installation?
The mechanical hanging of duct is not affected by weak wiring, but we check that the outdoor unit's electrical connections are safe before running it.
