Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Sulaitah is a rapidly developing district in the east with new residential projects, multi-storey apartment blocks and some commercial outlets, where buildings are typically modern and uniformly designed. This means most new projects invest in a comprehensive central AC system rather than separate units, requiring complex duct with precise transitions and takeoffs. Workshop fabrication before delivery ensures every piece matches the drawings exactly, saving time and eliminating on-site errors.

Sulaitah sits in the east and north-east of Jeddah, a modern expansion area with new buildings and regular architectural layouts.

Most new projects in Sulaitah call for a central duct system with complex shapes that demand precision in fabrication.

The AC setup in Sulaitah

  1. 1

Complex central duct with transitions and takeoffs

New projects in Sulaitah require complex duct networks with multiple transitions and various-diameter takeoffs, calling for precise workshop fabrication.

  2. 2

Rectangular and round duct in galvanised steel

Most central systems here use rectangular duct in the main runs and round duct in branches, from G90 galvanised sheet for durability and longevity.

  3. 3

Ready-to-hang duct with fittings and insulation

Duct arrives on site with all fittings and insulation included, ready to mount directly on supports with no further adjustments or delays.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Sulaitah

  1. 1

    Provide complete engineering drawings

Send us the accurate system drawings before the visit, or we measure the site ourselves and fabricate duct to the actual dimensions.

  2. 2

Map out the main and branch duct runs

Make sure you know the planned duct routes from the central unit to different areas, including heights and bends.

  3. 3

Confirm access to upper spaces and passages

Check that false ceilings and passages where duct will run are easily accessible, as installation requires room to work.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Is on-site duct cutting enough for the new project?

No, on-site duct cutting cannot hold precise dimensions or produce complex takeoffs and transitions to the required standard. Workshop-fabricated duct to specification ensures perfect fit and no air leakage at the joints.

How long does duct fabrication take before installation?

It depends on the project size and design complexity. We measure from site or drawings and fabricate the duct as quickly as possible, and installation is swift because it arrives ready to hang.

Do you use international-standard duct materials?

We use G90 galvanized steel and aluminium sheet, the standard materials for central ductwork in residential and commercial projects.

How much better is workshop duct than on-site cutting?

Workshop duct markedly reduces air loss because the joints are perfectly sealed, and saves installation time because everything arrives ready, improving overall system efficiency.
