When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Fardous is a varied industrial zone in north Jeddah with light and medium factories, workshops and modern administrative buildings. The ceilings are high and spaces open, but concentrated heat from machinery, furnaces and chemical processes needs an advanced cooling system that distributes cold air efficiently across the entire floor, avoiding waste and leakage through those tall ceilings.

Al Fardous lies in north Jeddah as a varied industrial zone with light and medium factories and production workshops.

Most factories here use rooftop package units or centralised cooling systems with wide metal ducts to cover the large production floor.

The AC setup in Al Fardous

  1. 1

Centralised cooling with metal duct runs

Large factories in Al Fardous need a centralised system distributing cold air through insulated metal ducts to reach every part of the production floor.

  2. 2

Rooftop package units for medium factories

Medium factories here often use rooftop package units providing cooling and ventilation together efficiently, reducing the need for long duct runs.

  3. 3

    High-control air distribution units

Large floors and tall ceilings require adjustable air distribution units to direct cold air toward heat concentrations and hot machinery.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Fardous

  1. 1

Map the main machinery and furnace locations

Tell us where the main machinery, furnaces and production processes sit on the floor before we visit, so we can assess cooling needs accurately.

  2. 2

Confirm roof and external access for units

Check that the roof is safe to access and the external entrance can take large units and equipment, and tell us of any security restrictions.

  3. 3

Coordinate the visit time with production management

Agree with us on a visit time that does not disrupt production, and brief the site team on our arrival.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

How do you design an HVAC system to handle machinery and furnace heat?

We map the hot machinery and processes, size the cooling capacity and fans to handle the concentrated heat, then route the ducts to avoid dead hot zones on the floor.

Dust and smoke block the filters fast, what should we do?

We select high-capacity filters rated for your dust type, and set up a regular inspection and change schedule that fits your production cycle.

Can the cooling system adjust to different production shift hours?

Yes, we install smart thermostats and adjustable dampers to reduce or increase cooling based on which machines are running and how many workers are on the floor.

The ceilings are very high, how do you distribute cold air without waste?

We use insulated metal ducts and air distributors positioned to pull hot air upward efficiently, balancing ventilation and cooling to minimise heat loss across the tall space.
