When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Abeer's commercial buildings are relatively modern and spacious, with shops specializing in food and beverages and small to medium restaurants, many relying on multiple display fridges for meat, fish and drink storage. This intensive fridge use means grease and debris build up on the condenser fins faster than in residential areas, and shop ventilation is limited by constant cooling load.

Al Abeer sits in north Jeddah, a modern commercial zone with specialist shops set amid relatively open spaces.

Most food shops here use two or three-door display fridges, often lined up along the shop's main walls.

The AC setup in Al Abeer

  1. 1

    Multi-door display fridges

Most food shops and restaurants in Al Abeer use two or three-door display fridges lined up side by side for varied product storage.

  2. 2

    Back-room storage fridges

Alongside the front display fridges, larger shops have storage fridges in the back room or kitchen area.

  3. 3

Shared power runs for multiple fridges

Adjacent fridges often run on the same circuit or shared extensions, which can affect voltage stability.

  3. 3

List what is stored in the fridge

Tell us what is stored in the fridge (meat, fish, drinks) as this helps us determine the correct temperature and servicing approach.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My newer shop fridge started warming up quickly, is that a serious fault?

Usually not, it is often grease build-up on the condenser coils from the shop's cooking or inadequate air around the fridge, which we confirm on the first visit.

Al Abeer shops are crowded and space is tight, how do you reach the fridge?

We coordinate beforehand to choose a quieter time, and we move the units carefully if needed or service them in place.

Jeddah's summer heat is intense, does it affect the fridge's performance?

Yes, the outside heat increases the load on the condenser, especially if ventilation around the fridge is poor or blocked, and we check this at every service.

The fridge is plugged into an older extension, could that cause trouble?

A weak or old extension may reduce the compressor's voltage and lower efficiency, so we advise checking the circuit and direct connection if possible.
