When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Manar is a busy commercial zone crowded with poultry, fish, meat and restaurant shops, handling high footfall during peak hours. The fridges here run under very heavy load, and seals and condensers are exposed to rapid build-up of grease, dirt and moisture from fresh food handling. Our team focuses on deep cleaning of condenser and coils, checking seals and fans to ensure stable temperature and food safety throughout the day.

Al Manar is in eastern Jeddah, a busy commercial zone specialising in poultry, fish, meat sales and restaurants.

Most poultry and fish shops here use open display fridges without glass doors, exposing the condenser and fans more heavily to grease and moisture.

Meat shops use specialist fridges for offal and organs, with robust condensers handling high pressure and excess moisture.

  3. 3

    Fish and seafood display fridges

Fish shops need fridges with strong seals to prevent water and salt leakage, with condensers exposed to very high moisture.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

A meat and poultry shop needs a clean and safe fridge, do you follow hygiene standards?

Yes, we clean interior and exterior parts to food hygiene standards, and inspect seals, fans and condenser to keep food stock safe.

The open fridge collects grease and dirt very quickly, how do you stop the build-up?

We clean the condenser and coils deeply of grease and dust, and inspect fans and seals to slow future build-up and maintain efficiency.

Temperature rises during peak hours, is this a sign of a problem?

This could be grease build-up on the condenser or a weak fan, and we identify the real cause through inspection and fix it.

When should we schedule maintenance for open display fridges in a poultry shop?

We recommend monthly or six-weekly maintenance because of the heavy load and grease, possibly more depending on daily usage volume.
